I wish I could go on and on but it is totaly irrelevant to LUTZ getting his A$$ kicked out. I was on the gov. debate teem at our school, so i love debating:)

i tried to say what you just said about the doctors in in the us and France, but i missed. I don't think we have the best doctors in the US because I've been in hospitals and you mostly see people with foreign names! I wonder why??? But what good is the best doctor in the world when he doesn't have the right equipment? that's what i tried to get at. And, hopefully things get better around the world because the could only be better for everyone else. There are places that I would love to move to, mainly Dubai.
I was never on bushs side, and i never fell for his gas theory when he first ran for presidency. he looked like an asshole right off the bat for me, and he truly did turn out to be one, actually, he turned out to be a dumb asshole! I don't rely on government for hope or anything because they are only out to help themselves. I hope things get better, because, ironically, since the US started having problems, everything trickled down on other nations. I know the US has it's flaws LOL, only people from texas believe the US is superior in everyday! I'm just saying that...hmmm...how do i start....If you are poor in the US, chances are you have no health care because you cant provide for it through private or job funded insurance. This isn't a problem that lies only on american hands, its world-wide. Canada does it a little bit better, but even that stops after a while. My uncle in toronto, actually he lives in Mississauga(i don't think that is spelled right) and had great benefits when he had heart problems. I just recently got a new vw passat, i just got into the school of my dreams, and i just got my own apartment for school. It would be a lie if i said things weren't going well for me! my dad did more to achieve his goals since coming to the US(15 years ago) than most US people have achieved in their lifetime. You gotta have will power to do good and achieve success. you can't live life expecting someone else to help you out by lowering taxes to bring you more money. Your dad must know what I'm taking about because he has his own company. You have to start from somewhere! my mom has a restaurant that is on the Cleveland Clinic campus. I used to help her out all the time when i was in high school. I would meet with the doctors every day because we had food that was suggested by the health and care community. One thing led to another and soon, i was working at the Cleveland Clinic's Research Department. If you have willpower, you can do great thing, whether you are in the US, Canada, Germany, France, or any place!
i should probably stop because i totaly forgot what the purpose of this is.
SORRY LUTZ, WE HIJACKED YOU THREAD!!!!

Sorry about your uncle.

Medical health all over the world is an epic failure. Everywhere it's about the money and greed. Not to go on but, the worst medical health care in the world is actually in the US. It's been proven. Wait, what was that documentary about US health care system... Sicko! there it goes, watch that? It's no only the movie that shows this, you can even review it through online information. French/German/UK health care is high up there, especially the French Health Care System, rarely a problem, even though it still is corrupted by greed, it's still better than what the US has to offer. The best doctors come from europe/middle east. The only thing the US is smart with is actually they have good hospitals and equipped with everything a doctor needs, hence doctors looking for jobs in the US. Every country is corrupted man, come on, let's not blind ourselves, no way in hell am I defending any country on this. Europe/Asia/Middle East/and YES even North America, do you truly believe in the freedom over there or the good-politics of US? Spare me. Like I said I'm not biased, Toronto was a great city, just that I got more in life in Europe than in Canada or US. Rather than bashing around, considering the life I have in Europe overall, from the money, to the people, to the politics, to the health care, to the fun, to the future, it all seems to work here one way or another, not a perfect system, but nowhere will you find something perfect. But it gets as close as it can to a great system. Give Europe 2 generations and it'll be ontop with almost everything, still it'll NEVER be the best system, there will always be greed & corruption. You see, your politics are painted, ours show their true colours. At least we know what kind of people work in our government, whether they sound like complete idiots, or are corrupting the system (Italy with Berlusconi for ex.), we at least know who we're dealing with. Your politics is all painted, fake, and a fantasy. None of their characters are true, none of it is real, all are just puppets strung to the beat of the organizations and systems working in and around the US. You see where I'm getting at? I'm admitting to problems on both side, just the outcome and overall is better here. Maybe you like the US more, but until you try it here, I can't accept your one-sidedness. I know people who have tried it here, and are going back to the US/Canada because they prefer it there. But the majority stays here.

Pros & Cons are everywhere... just got to find the right balance for yourself. :) Don't believe in systems, believe in the truth and how these systems really work once you have to activate them.

I know what it feels to go through. You don't have to be a frikin rocket scientist to understand that most countries in europe have corrupt governments that are led by money and greed. My uncle passed away in April because the doctors kept on asking for money to operate on him, saying that he needs this surgery asap and what not. He had a brain tumor. They told us it was a very bad one. they made us pay thousands of US dollars to pay for the 3 major surgeries. We had gone on vacation to see him and to go to my cousins wedding. He sadly lived only to see my cousin get married and passed away one week after. my dad has a network at the Cleveland Clinic and he forcefully took all the paperwork from his past surgery that my uncle had. Turns out, that he had a very small benign brain tumor. All that he needed to fukin survive was a half inch incision in the skull to release the pressure!!!

sadly due to corruption like this, lots of places in Europe have similar problems. I'm not saying that everyone is like this either.

Every country has it's problems, god knows the US has many of them. But, not for a second will i ask god why am i living here because i know I will never have a serious problem where my life depends on money. I

I don't know what job position is, and i don't know where you live, but from our families experience, things aren't that great over seas as you say they are. We have one family, from my mother side, who lives in Milan Italy. The father just lost their job, the mother had to find 2 jobs as a waiter because no one is hiring, the son is trying to go to school, and the doughtier just finished school and can't find a job anywhere. I can say the EXACT same thing about a family from my moms side who lives in London. One family on my fathers side lives in Germany. the father has an excellent job at VW, he makes good money but everything else he has to pay for makes it seem like it's nothing.

I know where i came from, I love going back whenever we save up money. 8k for the family trip back is pricey.

Oh yeah. i forgot. My uncle, who used to live in Italy, moved to Toronto in about 2001. He said moving there was the best decision he ever made. Sure, its not easy, you have to work for what you want. But, you have security in your health system. My uncle had a heart attack due to a clogged artery, the put a balloon in and he was in and out in 2 days!

As you can see, health is the most important thing to me. I don't care how many phone service companies there are, that's a luxury in which 1 is just fine. My uncle who passed away left behind my 9 year old cousin who we are desperately trying to bring over. I will always be great full for my father taking the chance and going farther away than the usual france/germany/italy.

I'm sure you have some of the same thoughts, and I'm not knocking on where you live or what you do.

Regardless of what you guys say, Lutz is quite possibly second to Harley Earl in terms of the products he's helped released with GM. From the number of comments already posted, he demands some obvious respect from all of you.

He's taking the fall for people like you who've been running around like headless chickens, blaming whatever overpaid punk they can get their hands on. He shouldn't be the one stepping down.

@ idrinorbarsaku

It's kind of sad to hear from you all of this. I'm not against the US, I only say things from experience, I lived in Toronto 15 years. I lived a few year in Downtown Manhattan New York because my father has his company there. My Mother lives in Poland so I've lived many years there too. I know 3 languages near-perfect, English > Polish > Italian, as well as I'm now studying Japanese and have it on a communcative level. My profession has me moving and living and working worldwide. So what I say is from pure experience. I know what it's like to live and work in all these countries so don't go talking out of your ass as if you know something better. Experience life everywhere, get involved with locals, because as sure as hell I know I have. Don't talk what your friends/family say, tell me what YOU went through. Unfortunately globalization is destroying the word 'countries' in a certain sense. There will no longer be "The One Country" as once upon a time there was (and here I speak of the US). But with rapidly growing countries worldwide and never-ending rapid changes worldwide, people are no longer in need of the US. Many countries worldwide are becoming self-sufficient and are in no need of the US. Everything the US has done lately only gotten them into a worse position in the face of the world or the economy and even the political system down to there military status. It's falling, unavoidable. Not saying that I hate or am against US, I'm neutral, I look at pros and cons about everywhere I've been. Not biased in anyway for anyone about anything. I just see and learn and experience the facts about everyday life. What it's like to work, pay bills, buy food, drive around, weather conditions, peoples mentality, fashion, habits, traditions, etc, etc, etc. People are escaping the US because they want to work or live in the Asian/European markets because there are more opportunities. Huge companies are now expanding faster and better in Europe/Asia than in the US. The US may currently hold the titles for these type of things, but if trends keep holding, It'll be Europe/Asia on top, and US down the drain. It's how people are developing, not how biased they are. More opportunities are available in these two continents. US got filled up long ago and nothing else is to do there. More possibilites are coming about in Europe/Asia, thousands of competitive innovation. We got thousands of brands and increasing, each trying to perfect their status & product to new higher standards, the US are still stale in this kind of business practice for awhile now. I can go on about many things. You want to talk channels? We got tons more channels and TV shows that are MADE in Europe not the US going on here than you got because we have a huge rise in business media development. Companies are growing out of nowhere to bring new multimedia and new shows. With the several countries we've got around the diversity of the portfolio of shows and multimedia is huge. Bollywood may be in India, but everyone already knows its outgrown long since Hollywood and still going. More more more more more here on this side of the world then there. Expensive here? yeah, sure it is. You have it worse. Everyone in the US is living on credit, here alot less. Because of the HIGH amount of competition, prices are low. Example? Cell Companies. You got what? AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon as the major ones only? Here Vodafone, Orange, Telefonica, T-Mobile, TeliaSonera, Telecom Italy as some of the major ones and a sh!t load of smaller ones allowing for huge competition with huge price reductions and let's not get into the "locked & limited" phones you have available. There are hundreds available to choose from here, how about you? maybe 50? We can expand this to Europe-wide supermarkets and competition amongst brands and what not. We don't live in debt, we are able to live the way we want. You can't, in Canada, every dollar I made went into bills and bills and more bills and i got little out of it in comparison to the same amount I later began to make in Germany. In Toronto I was on a $4,500/mon Payroll. Going out was expensive, buying clothes was expensive, driving my car was expensive, paying for the bills was expensive, etc, etc, etc. I was limited to what I can do and what I can't. In Germany I moved to a 3,600euro/mon payroll, when I compared the amount of things I can do in Germany to what I did in Canada or even the US... was a big difference. I got more out of every Euro I made then every 2$ in US/Can. So please don't tell me you know anything when you obviously don't. Live around, experience it, then talk. Again, I'm not biased, not against the US. I just see how things in reality are and how trends are going. I defend all pros and cons of every aspect of arguements made so long as there is something to support them with.

Unfortunately globalization is destroying the word ‘countries’ in a certain sense. There will no longer be “The One Country” as once upon a time there was (and here I speak of the US). It’s falling, unavoidable. Not saying that I hate or am against US, I’m neutral, I look at pros and cons about everywhere I’ve been. Not biased in anyway for anyone about anything. I just see and learn and experience the facts about everyday life. What it’s like to work, pay bills, buy food, drive around, weather conditions, peoples mentality, fashion, habits, traditions, etc, etc, etc. People are escaping the US because they want to work or live in the Asian/European markets because there are more opportunities. Huge companies are now expanding faster and better in Europe/Asia than in the US. The US may currently hold the titles for these type of things, but if trends keep holding, It’ll be Europe/Asia on top, and US down the drain. It’s how people are developing, not how biased they are. With the several countries we’ve got around the diversity of the portfolio of shows and multimedia is huge. Here Vodafone, Orange, Telefonica, T-Mobile, TeliaSonera, Telecom Italy as some of the major ones and a sh!t load of smaller ones allowing for huge competition with huge price reductions and let’s not get into the “locked & limited” phones you have available. There are hundreds available to choose from here, how about you? maybe 50? We can expand this to Europe-wide supermarkets and competition amongst brands and what not. We don’t live in debt, we are able to live the way we want. You can’t, in Canada, every dollar I made went into bills and bills and more bills and i got little out of it in comparison to the same amount I later began to make in Germany. In Toronto I was on a $4,500/mon Payroll. Going out was expensive, buying clothes was expensive, driving my car was expensive, paying for the bills was expensive, etc, etc, etc. I was limited to what I can do and what I can’t. In Germany I moved to a 3,600euro/mon payroll, when I compared the amount of things I can do in Germany to what I did in Canada or even the US… was a big difference. I got more out of every Euro I made then every 2$ in US/Can. So please don’t tell me you know anything when you obviously don’t. Live around, experience it, then talk. Again, I’m not biased, not against the US. I just see how things in reality are and how trends are going. I defend all pros and cons of every aspect of arguements made so long as there is something to support them with.

benefit the people??? really becausei have family members all over the world(england, all over italy, france, russia) who all want to leave because the cost of living os way too much. They have great jobs and work crazy ours just to go month to month and have no extra money for emergencies. and don't start by saying that it costs more because it is better, because it definitely is NOT! You have many channels, but what good is it when they are all pretty much the same??? I have a cousin in Dubai, and he had to buy a special dish to get the US channels because all the channels over there get copied and translated. I have noticed the same thing over in italy, germany, and london. You have all these little broadcast stations that show nothing good, but when you want to watch something good, you tune in to a show from the US!!!!! There is NO BS there so i am waiting on what you will say about that. I like all European places when I go to travel and visit family, but never in my life would i go to live there!

You are against the USA because you don't live here. But, keep on saying all this bad stuff, because when something bad goes down(aka...2012...all you political science majors know what I am talking about) you will know the power that the US is capable. I would urge you to find someone who studies Political Science. the stuff you will learn will make you rethink about your nice and peaceful life!

Back to lutz. did i mention I'm super glad he is gone?!?!?!

@idrinorbarsaku
I lived in England, Germany, Italy, and Poland (Along with New York, US & Toronto, Canada). Each country has their own TV stations for a loooooong time. Italy = Rai, Germany = RTV, Poland = TVP/Polsat/TVN, England = BBC and these are only naming the BIG NAME companies.. We have more of everything than you do now. Since long ago, whenever friends from Canada or America came over it's suddenly "There are too many channels here, too many things to watch." How big the US is? Please, it's boring there, every 100km its the same people, same food, same architecture. The only thing that changes is the beautiful scenaries the US has. Here? ever plane ticket gets you to a whole new world with a whole new lifestyle and new scenaries and new food and new people. And what's so SUPER POWER about a country in tremendous amount of debt and counting? From what reality is starting to become, the US's voice is starting to soften up under the EU. It's no longer Europe under the call of US, it's now US knocking politely whether they can help with something or if they can propose something, and if we say sure, you only become a part of it rather then the leading head or you're just told off and you crawl back angry that the EU denied you something. Kind of funny, because I will admit that once upon a time the US was a huge influence and power house and people all over Europe wanted to become apart of the US, but times are changing, people now don't want to follow the US, people want their own piece of mind out there, and with the EU, the world is now following the EU as their ideas and plans and negotiations and international matters seem to benefit the people more than what the US does. Now people are going around "What? Become apart of the US? HELL NO! Why should I? They have nothing beneficial there for me" It's all rapidly changing.

Anyway, we know it's not Lutz's fault totally that GM is falling apart, it is apart of his, he's made good decisions to get it to where it's at now, but come on, it still wasn't good enough, he didn't prepare it well enough for such an event as others did. Another 10,000 cuts? Please. It's the whole upper board along with other influencial people like investors or engineers that screwed up GM, or rather didn't do it enough good.

KuroSyn,
I wasn't born in the US, i came from Europe when I was 7 and the news over there was like how you said. when ever we go back to visit, the news comes from all over the world, not because they care, but because there is nothing to rely on over there, You have to rely on other forms of media. The same could be said about canada. They have "US" channels when they should have their own. they even have our own car commercials with lease prices when it isn't even the same for them, and their news is rarely about something else other than the US.

What i'm getting at, is that it is not a problem with the US, it is a problem with your place. You fail to realize how big of a country the US is. We are separated by water, if something important about another country needs to be heard, it will! You may fail to see it, but when you have a super power nation like the US, and you are in another country, you bet you are going to see them on tv!

what you say should only apply to those over in America. You see, in America all of you are hearing the sad news of whats going on over there and amongst the Big 3 in huge bolded fonts overlapping all of the worlds news, as usual they do. Trust me, watching sometimes CNN here in Europe, all your news is mainly about stuff that goes on in the US and from time to time, international matters. Which is why there is no surprise that America rarely understands or knows what goes on outside. Here in Europe we get tons of news about the entire world, and its auto industry as a whole, we are finding out about the crisis in the Asian Market, US Market & Europe Market when it comes to the auto industry. Just now, I'm looking at the second page of today's paper and here is talk about the problems currently going on at the BMW & MB headquarters and it's pretty bad, but they also talk about equally what's happening in the US with the Big 3 and the Asians are also compared here. It's just how the US blows out of proportion their own problems and doesn't worry about the rest of the world that you get people here on LLN just driving the Big 3 down and looking as if the rest of the world is only slightly hurt.

So are y’all finished? Anyone who knows anything about the history of GM and the industry as a whole, whether they like or dislike and/or are ambivalent towards the Company, would shake their collective heads at the tripe that has spewed here over the retirement of Lutz. By the way, an aside, Happy 77th on the twelfth Bob – y’all had a good run;-) In short order lets just take a short reality trip.

It is amusing to say the least, over the top more accurate, some of the opinions expressed here about Lutz. What is even funnier is the indignation and self-righteousness of some posters, especially comments coming from those who have never had anything good to say about the Company or its products. If anything they should be happy that a Company they despise is about to loose an employee who has, even among Company detractors, led a product renaissance. So much vitriol for a man who has earned the respect of colleagues and industry analysts and from whom - laughable or arrogant take your pick.

On other news, I see Toyota had its credit ratings reduced, Nissan looks like it’s getting to roll and Honda’s costs are soaring… The European brands, news is just starting to trickle out – it’s bad, very, very Bad;-) Gee, now where did I here musings to this effect over four months ago – where? Yes indeed, but still, just a harbinger of things to come…;-)

DB9

PS. Wait till you see what's coming next... No, it ain't Just GM and the other D2 - if only...;-)

KuroSyn, GM needs to become more agile. GMC for commercial use only. Sadly Buick, Saturn, Pontiac, Saab, and Hummer need to go bye-bye. GM needs to take the TARP money that they received and buyout these dealers without fear for the reprisal of lawsuits. They don't need to fund GMAC with this money. Even if GMAC decides to ease credit restrictions, this would only lead to more bad paper or toxic assets.

The two remaining brands need to be Chevy and Cadillac. This would be a setup similar to Toyota.

Who do they need to hire to accomplish this? That's a good question. It definitely needs to be someone with the guts to put the labor unions in their place. Also approach the customer with the same gusto that Lee Iacocca had in the 80's. GM needs a 21st Century cowboy.

Also this individual needs to be able to put Congress in its place, but that would get too far into this. Essentially, GM needs a younger Bob Lutz...this is because of his opinion on global warming. He understood what a car guy wants.

I actually falling into the bunch that is beginning to believe that NMOFGM is just 'talking' but doesn't mean any of it, he sounds way too obvious to be taken serious. After reading the few posts here has put me in a position to have absolutely no comment about what he says... (oh wait, technically speaking I am commenting now...) Anyway... however, if this guy does exist, I just hope to hell this guy doesn't cross my path... I just might get arrested afterwards.

Back on topic... GM's rep is ruined heavily, they know it, people drove them into the dirt too much, it all started with the crisis... yes, but it's the way GM handled the situation that kind of in a sense put them where they are now. Whatever was the reason in the past that we all here can put the blame on many decisions and choices made by Lutz and others in and around GM, it's just now up to whatever they do with the board. They're making major changes, grabbing some bailout money, an well, it's there only chance of regaining themselves. Might take years, but that is just the sad position they're in now. We all can go on about comparing warranties, and qualities, and models, and junkyards, and NMOFGM's dog that drive's an Aztec into a tree because he needed to take a piss, but we all know that it's heavily complex to truly compare these things, because you have to put into consideration the components each car uses, the design and frame made by each engineer, the value of the parts, the assembly plants, the payrolls, the service, the fuel, the driver, the everything, a very comprehensive comparison wouldn't be able to truly show which company is best or better or worse.

What about possible candidates you'd all suggest that might be able to bring GM back on it's feet? let's start with a more constructive conversation about this. What can GM do to regain it's rep and come out profitable? Who can they let go? Who can they hire now? What strategies can they use? :P

Embarrassment to own? 1990 Cavalier Wagon. You could leave a 1989 Cavalier in a prison yard with the doors open, the keys in the ignition, the engine running and a full tank of gas, and the car would run out of gas.

A friend of mine had one, and she made 11 trips to the shop for serious engine problems in one year. At that time, I had a '92 Ford Escort that I bought from a rental company. I made zero trips to the shop the whole time I had it, and only changed brakes, oil and tires. She was jealous of me, as my car was more reliable, faster, and better looking.

NMOFGM i mean no personal offense when i say this, im just making an observation, your mentality toward the General is very similar to that of Hiter and his "pure race". GM is by far not as perfect as you say it is. every company has probs, especially nowadays.

i have to agree strongly with Zcarsales, atoms, sage, mechmatt, and LLLL3...

p.s. i drive a FORD

And yes, that part was meant to b personally offensive to you. hahahahahahahahah

Secondly, it did start with gas. This comes from working at Honda store. July and August of 08, I saw a football field filled with Tahoes, Expeditions, Jeeps, Hummers because people wanted out of their SUV's and wanted to get in a Civic.

You can't say that this didn't hurt GMAC. I'm telling you its not design or quality. Its bad government, and bad leadership of GM. Remember Ponzi schemes in bad economies don't work.

@idrinorbarsaku

I'm sorry what's Toyota's warranty and what's GM's? How many recalls did the 07 Camry get in its first year, how many did cars like the G6, AURA, and Malibu get? What factory received the highest quality rating this year?

07 Accord vs. 07 AURA, who has the timing belt and who has the timing chain? Answering that, who's cost of maintenance is higher. Both are good cars, one is more expensive.

I hate to sound like Need More Kool Aid from GM, but you're living in a world of perception. I understand that you hate domestics, but c'mon! If someone was looking for a car under $25k, GM wouldn't be a bad bet. That's because of Lutz.

I hate to sound like Need More Kool Aid from GM, but you’re living in a world of perception. I understand that you hate domestics, but c’mon! If someone was looking for a car under $25k, GM wouldn’t be a bad bet. That’s because of Lutz.

Zcarsales,
it is no longer about gas prices, gm reputation is down the crapper right now because of their lack of quality compared to others. there is no other reason, this fact is shown even more since this crisis is occurring. Lutz, imo, does have everything to do with gm poor quality. he has the choice to disapprove of products but he doesn't care. It is something that lots of old, high position people do when they are close to retirement, they ease back on their job! losing lutz is the best thing that could happen to gm!!! one down...one more to go!

Lutz was and is a Glory Boy, nothing more. Given his position—let's face it, he had the authority—he did not accomplish much, and to think he single handedly did it all, as Lutz himself likes to think, is ludicrous. Lutz did more to tarnish GM's image than to promote it. (Well, he and No More Kissing Lutz’s GM Ass together.)

I don't know the man so I can't say I'm sad to see him go. But I dread to think that he will be replaced by someone with NO VISION and NO PASSION for the product.

GM Did well to have him pushing for new more interesting, exciting and better product. No bats a thousand, but he did better than who ever was in his seat before him.

GM may have suffered a more stinging lose than any of us might understand.

You're about as American as the Star Spangled Banner...

Which, I might add, was written by a Brit. As someone stated above, you're the blind leading the blind. YOU have no right to call yourself an American because you are so ignorant and biased towards anything but you're product, to the point where you can't admit that there is anything wrong with the company, even when they have asked for bailout money to keep themselves a float.

Oh, about your junkyard statement... I see about 15 GM vehicles on average... and about 5 imports.

There are so many things wrong with your post, I don't know where to begin

"Also, this nonsense that no one else builds cars like GM (I’m paraphrasing from a bunch of the posts above) is untrue. Several manufacturers build cars better than GM (to use a previous example, Lexus? For a closer comparison, take a look at all of GM product vs all of Toyota product (Scion, Toyota, Lexus) or all of Honda (Honda, Acura). There is not one person that can say that every GM is built better than every Honda/Toyota."

I don't know how you can say this with a straight face but it is a known fact that Toyota and Honda don't build a damn thing with the quality and dependability of a GM vehicle. Not even 10% as well built or long lasting. Go to any junkyard on the planet and count how many GM vehicles you see. Then how many imports you see. I assure you are either blind or incredibly stupid to think that imports don't dominate the junkyards. And I'll go even further to say all of them are most likely late models, 2 to 3 years old that have gone to sh1t faster than you can say "warranty period". If you see a GM vehicle, it probably has 500 thousand miles on it and was in an accident or something. Imports are there because they are sh1t, right out of the factories.

"Don’t forget that Honda, Toyota and Nissan all have plants in the US and Canada, where US and Canadian citizens work,"

Those people are not Americans and have no right to call themselves as such.

So, Need more Kool Aid from GM would drive a 2003 Chevrolet Malibu Classic? Don't forget the Pontiac Aztek. Do you drive one of those? Maybe the Chevrolet Corsica, you must have two of those in your driveway. I guess you're more of a Cadillac guy, how about the Catera? Do you have children? Do they drive? The Chevrolet Aveo is a good choice for them. In terms of safety that one takes the cake. Maybe your kids aren't old enough. I got an idea, why don't you put them in the super reliable Pontiac TransSport minivan.

Lets not forget the 3100 series V6, you know the one with absolutely no cooling problems. I've owned two Pontiacs with that same engine, and guess what: There were absolutely no cooling problems what so ever. Its weird that you see that motor in so many GM's currently being produced.

Also, why in the hell would anyone want a truck or SUV that has five cylinders?

I used to drive a cab. The yard I worked at had all the Luminas in its boneyard, when the Crown Vic's ran the show. Why?

Why did all the municipal fleets (police) stop buying Chevy, and start driving Crown Vic's? Only to take a chance on Chevy with the Impala, and switch right back to a rear wheel drive platform with the Charger. I'm waiting, Kool Aid. Why?

Secondly, my patriotic duty as an American is find the product that I want at the price I want. That is capitalism. Don't forget, this country was founded by angry businessmen.

My patriotic duty is not put money into the pocket of some corrupt union boss that spouts communism, supports a political party that is invested in the defeat of the economic system that we live in, and inspires people not to be productive.

If you love GM so much, like the way I do, you'd stop saying that there is nothing wrong with GM. You'd actually look at the sickness that's effecting this company and make suggestions as how to fix it. You'd be concerned that many plant workers are standing to lose their jobs because of Wagoner, and the UAW.

If you use my words, use them correctly.
