Two Mercedes customizers today introduced upgrade kits for two of the German automaker’s hottest offerings: The CLS and R-Class. Wald launched a stylish bodykit for the CLS-Class that gives it a more aggressive — yet still tasteful — appearance. We’re not sure if it’s going to be available in North America, but it sure is nice to look at. Meanwhile, Brabus has introduced a line of visual and performance upgrades for the new R-Class. Highlights of the product lineup are the BRABUS 6.1 S displacement engine with 445 hp / 327 kW for the R 500, a sporty yet elegant aerodynamic-enhancement program, light-alloy wheels up to 22 inches in diameter with custom-calibrated suspensions, and individual interior options. The impressive result after the conversion: 445 hp at 6,000 rpm and an enormous peak torque of 635 Nm at 4,500 rpm. Zero to 62 mph takes place in 5.9 seconds. Images of both cars after the jump…
