elvio, ok then i will answer the questiomn myself.
eventually i see chineese cars inbetween the japaneese and american cars as far as volume sales go.
as far as overall feel and solidity it will be
germany/italy/england
then
america/korea/japan
then
china/india.
seriously i wasnt trying to talk crap i just wanted to see what your opinion was.
microsoft and mac are american just outsourced to asia. brilliance is a chineese company in china so your comparison didnt count really, are the germans going to get credit for pouring the asphalt the cts was tested on in germany?

Looks like China combined a Scion tC with the old VW 1.8L turbocharged engine… and then mated that all up with a Chevy 4-speed automatic transmission.

Then detuned the whole shebang so that it’d only manage 9.7 seconds in the 0-60 race.

Nice going! Maybe we’ll see a $30,000 Chinese car with 300 HP and a 15 second time for the 0-60 sprint, too!

CTS Driver….I think this will answer your question.

The software (Windows or Mac) that you are using RIGHT NOW is pretty much built (including testing) by the people who come from India, China, and some other countries. So you can quit using them. Same thing about GM, there are many people, who also happen to be coming from the other countries, involved in designing and buliding, and testing the new CTS…so you can go and rest, and not to drive one.

i drive my 525 a little more, i picked the cts name to actually argue in the cts`s favor, but given the choice i drive my nissan frontier.

dude seriously i just wanted to know what your version of making it to the top was.
was it total volume of cars to be sold?
was it making top luxury cars like benz and bmw?
was it making the best total quality line of cars?
.
the question is still that simple are you capable of answering? just to be fair about answering i know a lot of people here speak english as a second or third language, so mabey i was not clear enough with my original question.

i dont know, i like the front end of the scion tC, but the rear looks unfinished and stubbie, like it got cut off. Less like a coupe if you ask me. Its not quite long enough or maybe the design is just too bloated-looking from the rear.

Car actually looks good and for once, it is not someone else’s identical twin. It’s about quality and safety. Based on my overall impression with Chinese cars, I won’t buy one NOW. But then our minds can be changed in the future. I wonder how many of you swore you would never buy a Hyundai / Kia back in the 80s/90s. They are everywhere nowadays.

Blakarr.. you are the closest to what I was thinking.. I see Tiburon, BMW 3-series and new Accord coupe in the overall shape.. but all pleasantly blended together and not an obvious knock-off. Yes, the taillights are oddly shaped but functional.. and slightly remind me of the Bentley Azure. Now if they could only just get the engineering, quality and safety up to par..

wait i thought it ****ed up the crash test. 0-60 in 10 seconds is plenty fast enough to kill you in this car. and design is yet to be original although its not THAT ugly. I expect this car to be 10%-20% slower than the spec claims because this is chinese spec.

The profile looks like a mixture of a Hyundai Tiburon, BMW 3-series coupe, a late 1980’s to early 1990s Mercedes CLK, and (its just a feeling)an Audi coupe. The yellow makes it look like a Chevy Cobalt but more like a Cavalier.

I actually think it looks nice. That front grill is extremely outdated though, if they plan on introducing it to Europe or America.

I still pray that the Chinese will never touch United States shores, and if they do, I hope they plunder.

I’m curious why these low cost automanufacturers aren’t considering Souther America, instead of North America where the car market is advancing.
