Bugatti Bordeaux sedan: new teaser photo

07/20/2009, 1:11 PM

By Nick Aziz

An official teaser photo showing the rear end of the forthcoming Bugatti Bordeaux has found its way onto the Web. A similar photo surfaced last week, but this one shows more details, including the car’s outrageous eight-tailpipe exhaust system.

Tipped to debut at this September’s Frankfurt Motor Show, the car won’t take on the typical shape of a performance sedan. Instead, the Bordeaux will take the form of a four-door coupe with a rear hatch. Reminiscent of the 1963 Chevrolet Corvette, the Bordeaux will feature a split rear window. The teaser shot clearly reveals the center spine will house the Bordeaux’s center brake light.

Inside, the Bordeaux will offer seating for four, with interior treatments befit of the world’s most expensive four-door.

In order to uphold Buagtti’s performance legend, the Bordeaux will reportedly use the same 987 horsepower quad-turbo W16 used in the Veyron supercar. An all-wheel drive system is likely, sending the super sedan from 0-60 in just 3 seconds and onto a top speed of 250 mph.

Dear lord… It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a rocket ship…. Nope, it’s a Bugatti. Seriously though, is this thing a car or a private jet; i can’t decide.

I want a Kinder more Environmentally sound Bugatti only two exhaust pipes are necessary. Remember a Thousand points of light will help to light up the night for candlelit dinner for two in the back seat of a 5000 CU IN 29 cylinder Bugatti

Yeah, weak was a bit of an understatement. A Veyron with four doors eliminates the need for anyone to purchase an Evo VIII FQ400. Family car with manly power.

Seeing as how a Veyron has an actual aircraft grade spoiler on the back…

Hmmm….I saved the picture and opened with photo editing software. Brighten the image and increase the contrast and you can tease out the shape of the back of the car.

I like this better than the back of the Veyron. Very sinister looking.

The key will be the shape in profile. Too many sedans lose it here. (Read Porsche Panamera)
