Hate to burst the bubble but Bugatti was making serious luxury cars before Rolls and Bentley were and ages before Maybach. Bugatti are the masters of luxury and their older cars are more sought after much more than almost any classic automobile. Fast forward to 2008 here we are with just the Veyron but if you were to look inside the Veyron or sit in it as I have you will realize that even in their monster former record holding coupe the quality of materials and the build of those materials is far above most automakers. I don't think a Veyron-priced super sedan would sell nearly as well as Veyron does. You simply can't get that much more luxurious than Rolls / Bently / Maybach (which it would have to be), and for ultra-high performance I'm sure people would want to stick with their sports cars.
