Bugatti to up 2008 Veyron production

03/31/2008, 11:08 AM

By Drew Johnson

The Bugatti Veyron may be one of the world’s fastest production cars, but it’s certainly not one of the world’s fastest produced cars. When the Veyron launched in 2005, Bugatti made just 5 examples, with production soaring to 44 units in 2006. 2007’s production run saw 83 cars produced and Bugatti hopes to ramp up production in 2008 to 90 units.

Although the €1 million-plus Veyron currently has a waiting list, Bugatti has only sold 220 cars out of a planned production run of 300 vehicles.

According to Automotive News, Bugatti has already delivered 135 Veyrons.

To achieve the extra production — 85 Veyrons were originally slated for production this year — the planned three-week summer break at the Veyron’s Molsheim, France production facility will likely be reduced to just one week.

murderedout is stupid. What makes the Veyron different from all other hyper performance cars is how easy it drives near time warp speeds. It accelerates to 100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds and it does it so smoothly effortlessly, and thats the biggest challenge in making a car do that. The Aero TT also has super quick acceleration but the car is such a handfull to control, and at its top speed it people who drove it say it feels unsteady and its a scary experience, but the Veyron at 400km/h is rock solid steady. the brakes on the Veyron will stop it from 400km/h to 0 in just 10 seconds, no street legal car in the world can even come close to that. Thats why it costs over a million, its not just the speed, its unearthly control that the Veyron has that makes it currently the most amazing car ever built.

Motor-RICER is a faggot. Any car with 1000 hp is not easy to drive, YOU’RE A COMPLETE IDIOT TO SAY THE LEAST.! I bet you’re still in highschool and you’re a virgin with pimples on you’re face. Show me the article where it says “people say it was unsteady’? I bet you pulled that one out of your asshole. And guess what ****stick? The SSC ULTIMATEE AERO TT is half the price the Veyron is and it’s faster. OWNED!!!!!!!!
