Gotta agree. Interior has some good points to it but many look like some kind of plain work truck features. the "console" looks fine but the cross car flat IP/vent areas look plain.

Wow, what happened Buick?

The last batch of Buick vehicles have had gorgeous interiors, but this one is quite bad looking from these pre-production shots.
While I think it would be nice for GM to get back into the minivan market, I hope this interior is for the Chinese market only and any USDM version have one that mimics the look of the LaCrosse or Enclave.

FUNNY on the comments. Nowhere does it say they are going to sell it here. It is for the China market. Will it come here? I sure do not know but I doubt it since the minivan market keeps dropping, dropping, dropping. And yes I know there is still a market but it keeps getting smaller, smaller, smaller.

Another minivan from Buick?? Are you f@#$ing kidding me?? Another vehicle that will be scrapped after 3 years just like the Terrazza?? I don't get it. They introduce a minivan which sold like sh*t but they scrap the compact SUV idea. Seriously Buick. You better get your head out of your a$$ if you want to survive this market!!

haha - most, if not all the test mules would have E-Stop buttons (emergency stop) buttons that act like a kill switch. All cars should have them in production! haha

I like the idea behind this concept. Having seen many a people mover type van, decked outwith only 2 seats in the rear (luxury seats), I can't help but think that its not what I expected from the outside.

This way, we have a purpose built luxury car, sized of a people mover.

I wonder if there will be an armored version?

jayomatic, when I was in college we used vans for the identical purposes and some more. But it was not "business concept", since we could not afford hookers.

Hate that reverse drop belt-line droop. It's distinctive, yes, but ugly too. Looks like a parallel universe MKT. The instrument panel has none of the design flair exhibited in the LaCrosse. This is dissapointing.

Actually it's called the business concept because most businessmen in China use these Vans as their chauffeured transportation.

When I was in Beijing, quite a few company executives used vans as their vehicle of choice since it can accommodate more than some fancy A8 could. Especially when it's time to go for lunch meetings or post-work drinking sessions.

No high level executive would be caught driving on China roads.

I want EVERY car to have that big red button!

I don't even care what it does, I just want to push it.

But it IS a minivan, Johnny is totally right... Companies love to invent pretty new catchphrases rather than call things what they are!

Johnny, for you it is minivan, for my government it is business concept. We'll figure out who is right in a few years: it will be iether failed concept or well selling van. Time will tell.

Interior is not all that impressive and I think functionally not very good. Those flat instruments cluster were hard to read in sunlight in 70's, with global warming I don't expect sun to get any dimmer during day.

From what I read, Ford only sold 455 MKT's in the first month of sales while they sold 12,352 MKS's. Carstuff, I definitely wouldn't call 455 "selling like mad"! As a point of reference they sold 2,033 Ford Flex in the same month, September.

Can they not just call something what it is anymore? This is a minivan... so where did they come up with 'Business Concept'? Are there so many people in China now that they've run out of office space and have to conduct their meetings in the back of a van? Or perhaps the back of a van is where they do their 'business' and that's why there are so f*cking many of them.

Can they not just call something what it is anymore? This is a minivan… so where did they come up with ‘Business Concept’? Are there so many people in China now that they’ve run out of office space and have to conduct their meetings in the back of a van? Or perhaps the back of a van is where they do their ‘business’ and that’s why there are so f*cking many of them.

Yep, more distractions indeed. I wonder if they have done a study on how much slower traffic moves overall since text messages, nav screens, advanced HUDs, etc have become mainstream tools used in cars.

1) I'm very pleased to see Chinese GMs being engineered in the USA. First the Shanghai GM badged SLS now the Chinese-market-only Buick Van...

2) New Terraza for US? Shouldn't let all that engineering go to waste.

3) If it's the replacement for the current Buick executive van on sale in China (a Terraza with a nose job) it should be standard minivan size.

So how big is it? Chrysler minivan size or smaller?

I would have said this is too different to sell but the MKT has proven me wrong there. It is selling like mad.
