Buy an Aston Martin, get Sirius for life

07/26/2007, 10:58 AM

By Andrew Ganz

Aston Martin and Sirius Satellite Radio have announced a partnership that will give buyers of the British sports cars a lifetime subscription to Sirius Satellite Radio for their Aston. For the near future, all Aston Martins sold in the United States will come standard with Sirius.

The promotion is only good for the first owner of the car, but it’s still the first program of its kind to be this broad.

Well this is certainly good news for Aston Martin, though he’s still 20 years away from getting a used unit…

All I have to do is spend $150,000 to save $500. What a deal!

Anybody can get Sirius for life. Just pay $500 for the lifetime subscription. I think now the lifetime subscription can be moved twice to different/new receivers for $80.

You know, I’ve been wondering for the longest time, what exactly (and honestly) does douche-bag LP640 drive?

Either way this is just about the most pointless promotion I’ve ever heard of.

LP640, Sirius radios isn’t crap I got it for my new Cadillac CTS-sport and it is very sweet. I can hear any car race (from F1 to NASCAR and even drag racing) or sport games and you don’t have to pick a radio station you can listen to every band in the world even Kataklysm, (a really good Czech band mostly heard in easter euroupe)you can pick from what band you want to listen to and even down to the song you like. It is great if you don’t want to carry CDs in your car all the time and if your kids will not let you use their ipods.

Maybe this is why siri stock, which is already the joke of wall street, took another 6% dump yesterday.

Consider it one more thing that isn’t going to show up on your credit card bill. of course if you have the scratch to buy an Aston Martin then you probably have someone who handles your cards and accounts for you. Still if you love you AM then you’ll be holding on to that car for more than five years.

The stock dropping, along with the entire market, Dick, er Ricardo, has nothing to do with the quality of what you get. Non-commercial music stations that aren’t programmed by corporate consultant wankers is worth the subscription. I get rock music that FM forgot about playing years ago, I get classic jazz, I get punk, I get new music. Plus, I don’t have to worry about a decent FM station being turned in to shout radio or Spanish language + ranchero music or prosthletyzing hypocrite.
