Non-commercial music stations that aren't programmed by corporate consultant wankers is worth the subscription. I get rock music that FM forgot about playing years ago, I get classic jazz, I get punk, I get new music. Plus, I don't have to worry about a decent FM station being turned in to shout radio or Spanish language + ranchero music or prosthletyzing hypocrite. I can hear any car race (from F1 to NASCAR and even drag racing) or sport games and you don't have to pick a radio station you can listen to every band in the world even Kataklysm, (a really good Czech band mostly heard in easter euroupe)you can pick from what band you want to listen to and even down to the song you like. It is great if you don't want to carry CDs in your car all the time and if your kids will not let you use their ipods.
