all i have to say, is that nissan pays there employee's as much if not more than any uaw worker, problem with uaw workers is that they are lazy, they think they should be paid thirty dollars per hr,but do about ten dollars worth of work.i remember a few years back,my uncle used to tell me how he made all this money at ford, but didn't have to do hardly any work.wonder why they are in so much trouble now?

"...... send Tokyo you're check." - Uncle Sam

at least the correct use of basic 4th grade grammar is not a mystery to me.

"your" is the correct word. Minor spelling typo's are one thing on these blogs, it's expected with all the fast typing and all; but when you go so far as to call someone a moron, you should make sure you weren't already setting the standard.

Enjoy your car.

The US automakers do not deserve my business. They serve us poorly asembled garbage and think that we will buy it. Well... I guess there still are some retards out there who will spend hard earned money on an inferior product.

It is not about the price, it is about the product. I don't care where the profit goes. It does not end up in my pocket either way, but for my short time on this planet I don't drive around a shitbox UAW assembled vehicle.

Do the automakers who use UAW employees make a car that is built as well as the Toyota Camry? Or the Honda Accord?? They don't, and the UAW knows it.

#9 --- I can tell you were some of the money saved by non-UAW assembly is going. Back into the product. The UAW cars have to built cheaper just to support the legacy cost. Toyota Camry's are built with higher grade matrerials than a Chevy Malibu.

No UAW, you get a better built car, because less corners have to be cut. When you are spending six figures a year (salary, benefits, pension) for the guy who screws in the dashboard, you have to sell the car for more money, or cut some corners to stay competitive. The domestic choose the cutting corners route.

#8 well said, Toyota and Nissan are not UAW represented, don't pay the same scale of benefits to their employees (compared to the domestics), and do not have any legacy costs !! Yet their products are not priced any cheaper than those of the domestic competition. I suppose we could argue that Toyota & the rest of the Asian Manufacturer's are taking their customers for about 5% of every sale (5% margin is what they claim at a minimum), on a $30k car, that's $1,500 greenbacks just handed over to the Japanese by the average American consumer, multiply that $1,500 times 200,000 Camry's, and you have a combined total of $300,000,000 added to the trade deficit. This is a very simplistic example, but it illustrates the general idea.....

just like profecional sports unions whos player are way over paid do you realy think team owners or automakers would pass on the savings to you if they got rid of UAW. Nope youd still pay 30 $'s for cheap seats and hndreds for prime ones. The money would just go to someone else. Point being foreing makes made here when thy moved thir factories from overseas and saved thousands (7,8,ect)on tariffs, and payed non union employees 1/3 to 1/2 the price din't change did it?
They got workers for what they paid back home. NO DIFFERENCE IN PRICE. Now you have those companies coming out with new brands so they wont be associated with the new cheaper brands ie. toyota/scion.

These traitors need to get out of the country then. They don't belong here, neither does Nissan.

This would be a bad move on GM's part having a japcrap brand like Nissan riding GM's coattails to success
