Mark McNabb, the head of Cadillac has resigned, according to a brand spokesperson. McNabb had been the head of the top General Motors division for about 13 months and, according to the spokesperson, he’ll leave to pursue other opportunities. Stephen J. Hill will serve as Cadillac’s chief for the interim.
McNabb had been hired away from Nissan , where he had worked for more than 20 years – with a brief stint at Mercedes-Benz in the interim.
Given he had only been with Cadillac since last April, McNabb’s impact on the automaker was inevitably small. Cadillac, like most of GM, will revise its lineup down for 2010 – the slow-selling STS-V will be dropped, though the automaker will add a redesigned SRX and a CTS wagon.
