Last week, a published report indicated General Motors had decided to dump Cadillac ’s “Break Through” campaign and the accompanying “Rock and Roll” theme song in favor of an edgier marketing effort. Initially, it was unclear what would replace “Break Through,” but Leftlane sources now say “Life. Liberty. And The Pursuit.” is the slogan of choice. LLN first discovered a trademark filing for the phrase in April. At the time, it was not known which brand the tag-line was associated with. However, with new marketing material right around the corner, we can now confirm “Life. Liberty. And The Pursuit” belongs to Caddy.
