Speaking at an event at last weekend's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, Clay Dean, Cadillac's director of advanced design, said that the concept could preview the American brand's next design language if it receives a warm reception from the public. If that is the case, the styling code's slogan will be "American glamour meets American technology."
A large two-door coupe, the Glamour's stretched and angular silhouette is clearly inspired by the seventh- and eighth-generation Eldorado models of the late 1960s and 1970s.
It is too early to tell if the coupe is earmarked for production or if it is merely a design study that will never evolve past the concept stage. Whatever the case may be, a full set of details will be available when it bows for the first time next year.
With ten new or refreshed products scheduled to be launched over the next three years, Cadillac is working on more new products than ever before.
