The Japanese concepts are usually so off-the-wall everyone knows they won’t get built. GM always makes some damned hot looking concepts that make you drool, then you go down to your local Chevy/Buick/GMC/Pontiac/Hummer/Cadillac/Saturn dealer and hang your head in shame. I’m tired of getting teased.

Just another PR stunt by GM. The Volt is never coming…just a lot of concept photos and clay models. GM had an electric car in 1995…EV-1. They act like they need more research on electric/battery vehicles…they know how to build them now, but they won’t. Cadillac…these buyers don’t give a crap about saving money on gas.

I love the concept cars that end up on the Barrett-Jackson auction block. Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but one guy paid 5 million or something for that 1950’s Olds concept that was to be their version of the first Vette.

Yet another concept that will never see the light of day. I once saw a coffee-table book of GM’s concepts that went back to the 1950’s. Of those maybe a handful actually made it to production, if only in a watered-down, bean-countered, and badged-engineered manner…
