It looks to me like the GM poeple don't really care about bringing back a true Icon like the 69 camaro. The new concept car is Butt Ugly and looks like another futuristic Chrysler sports car. Why don't they just stick to the ideas they had before tis one! The previous Concept Camaros without a doubt looked like a 69 Camaro and I would gaurantee that they would sell like Hotcakes! Get those other drawings back out of the trash bins GM and get it together!! You are surely doomed with this car!

Hmmm, this sounds familiar somehow. This is what I posted when they first showed the Camaro concept:

“Somewhere under the skin of this thing is the Camaro concept they SHOULD have built….Someone “tweakedâ€? and “modernizedâ€? this design before it was built for NAIAS. I guarantee that somewhere, on someone’s desk, is a drawing or clay model of this car’s ORIGINAL design, and it’s beautiful.

It is more like the ‘69 and less “fighter jetâ€? BS. You can see in the overall shape that the right idea was there. It just got “Lutzedâ€? along the way, and lost the pure and simple design that would have had buyers standing in line for it.”

I hope they build another concept based on that original design. Because, trust me, that one would have gotten a much bigger and positive response than this one.

Like I've said before, the '69 Camaro is one of my all-time favorite cars. That's why it hurts so much to say that this concept is an abomination. It definately shows that they changed their design philosophy half way through. Never do that. Never, never, never. You end up with something that looks this hideous!

Only one problem...the roof. The roof is so low that I'll either bump my head when I enter or will have to sit so low just to be able to see out the windshield. I can't believe the production version will have the roof that low. It doesn't even look that proportioned with the low roof.
Otherwise, the car will be a smashing success when it goes into production in a couple of years.
