Guys, Porsche has to meet the same EPA MPG requirements as everyone else. They are not going to do it w/o some major hybrid enhancements. Good thing is that another $5k on each car for hybridization will be much easier to swallow on a Porsche than on a Toyota/Chevy.

Biggest issue will be the increased weight and what it does to handling.

For that price i’d at least expect the much better looking Turbo’s front valence.

Turbo Mo, if you can afford 70+K car, cost of fuel is not on top of your priorities. However, image is. If you want to project “green” image, you must have hybrid. I am far from advocating hybrids, but after introduction Lexus LS460H was outselling LS460, yet hybrid has inferior mileage to the “normal” car.

What the hell is Porche thinking? Not only did they miss the hybrid luxury SUV market by years, typical Porche customers don’t give a crap about saving fuel!
