My guess? For over 90% who own.a Hummer, it’s just conspicuous consumption. Here on the Left Coast, Hummers go well with gold chains, gold teeth and rap music being played at 90 dbl. I’d love to see this symbol of military madness and all that went wrong with the American public’s motoring preferences die an ignominious death, but apparently it will live on…..

AM General owns the Hummer H1, and it builds the H2. The only thing GM has is the marketing/distribution rights, and the rights to the H3.
