Chevrolet has announced pricing for its gas-powered 2013 Malibu sedan range, including a new lower starting price for top-spec LTZ models. The 2013 Malibu LS, LT and LTZ models will arrive on dealer lots later this summer.

The 2013 Chevrolet Malibu LS equipped with General Motors' new 2.5L Ecotec four-cylinder engine will carry a base price of $23,150, including a $760 destination charge. Although that pricing reflects a $280 price increase over the 2012 Malibu LS, the 2013 model does come well equipped with features like Bluetooth connectivity, satellite radio and 10-airbags fitted as standard.

The mid-level 2013 Malibu LT will arrive with a starting price of $24,765. The LT includes all of the LS' standard features plus a seven-inch touch screen with Chevrolet MyLink connected radio, Bluetooth streaming audio, ambient lighting and iPod connectivity.

The 2013 Malibu LT Turbo - which uses a 259 horsepower version of GM's 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder - will carry a base price of $27,710.

The range-topping 2013 Malibu LTZ will land with a starting price of $28,590, which actually represents a price drop of $770 compared to last year's model. Stepping up to the LTZ trim level adds LED taillights, 18-inch wheels, fog lamps, leather seats with heat, remote start and dual exhaust outlets.

The 2013 Malibu LTZ Turbo will list from $30,925.

The Malibu Eco - which features GM's mild hybrid eAssist system - remains unchanged, but will receive slight $100 price increase to $26,095.

Look for the full range of 2013 Chevrolet Malibu models to begin arriving in showrooms within the next few weeks.
