The only way “Synergy” should related to the Camaro in any way shape or form is if they went and dropped a hybrid powertrain in it. But then they might get in trouble from Toyota… lol

So why is it not available for the SS? That’s stupid. If GM is trying to get a better green image it shouldn’t be on any Camaro. This option should be available on the SS. But fancy colors doesn’t make it worthy of being a special edition. GM I has lost its way. And yeah, it does kind of seem like it could be a Mountain Dew edition lol.

Seriously? Instead of investing R&D into the “facelift” of the already dated Camaro, GM decides to move forward with a booger green colored car with race stripes? It’s like some emo Asian chick got nailed by a hillbilly and this is the product of their consummated affair.

You don’t see booger green BMW M3′s with racing stripes!

Once again… GM should have been liquidated and resold to legitimate investors who could rebuild the car company… not go the way of Amtrak

Well actually GM is offering quite a large assortment of aftermarket parts for the Camaro through its GM Performance Parts catalog. You can pretty much add anything from bolt-ons, all they way up to crate engines with factory backed warranties. I must say GM has really stepped up its game on aftermarket support for the Camaro.

But I agree totally with Johnnycanuck, I think it’s pretty retarded that GM chose to offer a Camaro that’s only painted “green” but isn’t really all that “green” and they go and call is a special “Synergy” edition. When I first clicked on the link I actually thought GM was offering a hybrid powertrain or something to that effect. Not some special edition.

Out of the Camaros that were featured @ SEMA the one that I would have really wanted to see make it to production was Jay Leno’s twin turbo V6 Camaro. Which of course the only one really worth producing won’t be…

IMO the Camero Synergy that is being released is better than the concept. To be honest the concept reminds me to much of the imports you see dressed up with all these body kits to make them look fast but they aren’t. I would much rather see subtle differences like what has been done to the production version rather than pointless body kits, that add weight and to be honest look cheap and tacky on a car.

One of my favorite Star Trek original series lines was from an episode where Scotty attempts to get an alien who has taken over the ship drunk in order to incapacitate him. They go through all of his booze until they’re down to one last dusty bottle and the alien asks Scotty what it is to which he replies “… it’s green”.

And that’s all this is…. a green Camaro. I really don’t understand what this “synergy” crap is all about they’re to associate with it.

Thanks Leftwing – you said exactly what I was about to, except with LLN having the goofiest passwords, It took me a while to find it again and log in.

I think the green looks interesting, but a fad color that might not look good in a couple years. Anyone remember this color on the Camaros/Mustangs of the mid 90′s? They were everywhere and now you I see them and think “they should have bought red.” The green makes it look very Australian though, which is appropriate when you remember it’s on an Aussie platform. Aussies love their bold metallic colors on cars.

well, you pay 27k for this, then go get that other shit bolted on…its under 30k for this…you’d get your SEMA car for a price that’s still south of an SS…not a bad deal if you really want a car that looks like that…btw, i’m in no way endorsing that cars should look like that!

artmark you hit the nail on the head. This is the problem with most manufacturers now. They get a great reception to a car, and then butcher it up and send it to the dealers and complain about how it doesn’t sell.

GM Still doesn’t get the point.

People don’t want a green camaro with stripes. They want the green camaro with stripes, a black chin spoiler, black rear wing, black side skirts and awesome looking wheels. They want what they saw at SEMA. Not a green version of Bumblebee.
Duh.

They took a mean looking car, and removed all it’s character.
