As a Corvette owner I can say this with all confidence, if the C7 resembles this monstrosity in any way…. the C6 will be my last Corvette.

It’s a shame. I hope it’s at least a design precursor for the C7. It’s over the top in some ways, but it’s a show car (the back end). But I love seeing the old ’70s Sting Ray brought into the 21st Century. C3+C6+?= Centennial Concept.

I think this is going to be an Autobot. Maybe Jazz rebuilt, or some guy they find underground. In the first movie, none of the Decepticons were GM vehicles, and I’m willing to bet the same theme will be carried out this time as well. I doubt it will be Bumblebee.

I thought the GT-R35 was trying to look like the CORVETTE. Seriously. Don’t let the silver paint throw you. The only things those cars share are the paint color, four wheels, and four tail lamps.

This concept is by far the most outrageous to date. The fact it will actually drive and that there more than one on set is telling as well.

But there are more convincing and conservative renditions of the C7 out there. the best ones actually look something Syd Mead did.

This car is HOT ROD i’ll tell you, and if you remember the old cartoon move, HOT ROD gets Optimus Prim killed, and Megaton becomes Galvatron… So you see it’s a good thing Chevy is not making this car, but hay I hope thay still put out a Z28 Camaro…..

The key words from Mr. Lutz are ‘at this point’. If this turns out to be no more than just throwing one out there as he implies, so be it, but we all know there will be a next generation Vette and inspiration has to start somewhere. I believe this simply to be a case of there are more important things for GM to worry about right now. The ZR1 should be enough to keep the faithful amused for a while.
