To all the losers whoo cant afford to drive an EPICA. I just bought the ‘O6 model,love it and it is the best care on the road for your money. At least i didn’t have to pay 10 to 15 thousand dollars for up grades like most dumbass people do.. haha on YOU

I own a 2004 Epica (aka Suzuki Verona) here in Canada…Epica not sold in the US. I think it’s an exceptional car, and it’s my first GM vehicle (I’m 43). I considered an ’06 Impala but settled on the Epica instead. It’s a lot of high-quality vehicle for the money, and the interior beats just about every other GM product, including Cadillacs.

I would gladly buy an ’07 Epica if it were offered in Canada…lovely smooth quiet engine and the interior is mostly carryover except for a revised center stack with the new boring corporate GM look. The previous generation, although Italian styled, was apparently too boring or sophisticated??, and received barely any marketing effort from GM. The ’07 Epica has a 5-speed auto vs. the last generation 4-spd., which should help the modestly powered engine. But in my opinion, it’s Lexus taste at a Chevy price.

I agree with #16 GM should outsource designs for its midsize cars. I think the German Opel studios will do nicely. GM’s American designers seems only good enough for making retro cars. The vision for a more aggressive stance for its mainstream cars seem impossible in the US. I really don’t know why GM always holding something back from the consumers. Thankfully there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel for GM with superbly styled cars like the next CTS, Camaro, Solstice, HHR and the Enclave.

This car is sort of plain (leave the sporty look for Pontiac) but it looks better than the 2007 Sebring BY FAR. It looks better than the current Malibu and probably would sell well.

Yeah, and everyone laughs at Chryslers “ugly” (I like it) Sebring, but I’ve watched paint dry and been more excited than looking at this car. GM doesn’t even have a foot to shoot itself in anymore.

it’s not the designers who have a final say in the overall design of the car.
and I had sung paik (the lead designer of this car) as a professor recently at CCS – he is amazing.

The Epica represents yet another bland (even more bland that the new Camry) interpretation of GM’s view of the Camry.

It’s a Korean economy car. GM has little or nothig to do with it and it looks more like a corolla than anything else (5 series? please shake your head, your eyes are stuck).
Sounds like it won’t even set foot in the states. You US bashers have just about used up any little bit of credibility you may have had left.

Maybe they should out-source their designs to the Italians, like the Koreans. Having said that; I think the exterior of the Poncho G6 – and the little unknown Chevy – isn’t all that bad.

If this is the new face of Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge and the Japanese are going to put their foot up the ass of chevrolet. People who want a car that looks like a Japanese car are going to buy a Japanese car. Chevy is planning a line of retro inspired RWD cars for 2009/2010 based off of the 1955-1960s designs and if they sacrifice those for this then they are doomed.

If you close your eyes, and use your imagaination, this does look kind of like a 5 series that is until you get in and start to drive it. Then, even with your eyes closed, you’ll be able to tell it’s not a 5 series (that is until you run into a tree because you’re driving with your eyes closed). Should bring it here as the Chevy Vanilla.

Not sure how large this car is but it looks better to me than CHevy’s current Malibu. The Malibu’s front end just does not flow for some reason. It looks very stacked and messy and its tail lights are uninspiring. I am not sure however if this should be the “face” of future Chevrolets
