Chevrolet Equinox SS spied?

05/23/2006, 11:46 AM

By admin

Blogger Jonathan Stein snapped some photos of a prototype vehicle that he thinks could be the Chevrolet Equinox SS. “I’m going to go out on a sturdy limb and say this is an upcoming Chevrolet Equinox SS,” writes Stein. “Note the larger rims and twin exhaust pipes.” Stein said he doubts it’s a hybrid in disguise. See all the images here.

What? Another stupid SUV?

I’ve been wishing upon a star for something, inovative, groovy, creative, perhaps efficient from The General for some time now. This is like getting a rock in my Halloween bag.

I am sick to death of FWD vehicles with SS badges. I am not a big GM fan, but I do respect them. That said, it is an insult to their legacy to just slap SS badges on anything..

I see your point guys, I would love some AWD/RWD Sedans and coupes running with small blocks with chevy badges on them that we all can afford, but the other people who are whining about big SUVs are also letting the automakers know they want more fuel efficient and smaller people movers. If Lutz knows what he is doing and the company can ride the storm out, we may get both in the next few years.

Hopefully, they will be smart enough to offer an engine (ANY ENGINE) over the POS 3.4l that resides under the standard nox.

Maybe they’ll spend more than 10 cents on the interior of this thing as well.

I think it looks pretty cool. As a responce to #2 I bet that they will put AWD in this SS since it is an option for the standard one.

#11 you’re probably right. I guess I’m just bitter about the FWD Impala SS.

The FWD Impala wouldnt even be as bad if they threw the Pontiac’s GXP equipment on it.

“Patrick you’re a whiner, get a life.”

Because all negative opinions about GM cars are met with childish responses like this one. The Nox is a turd wrapped in decent looking sheetmetal, but that is ALL that it has going for it.

Being unimpressed with a product is not whining.

Studies have showed that americans still buy these “****ty” cars. So go blaim them for telling GM to still build this stuff.

Until the demand for these cars goes down, expect more face lifts.

if any of you would actually read reviews you would find out that the 3.4 in the nox although with little horsepower gets that thing going pretty well and would you stop whining.
