The technology is still too new and we have no clue what the long term reliability is of these systems. If anything automakers should stop wasting money on these gas-hybrids and focus on both pure electric cars and making cleaner, even more efficient diesels. If I were that hell bent on getting better mileage I would go buy a diesel, but I'm more than happy getting almost 30mpg from my supercharged V6. To all of the other haters, I agree with Fletch - a stiffer suspension and a turbo-charged engine seems suitable for an SS designation.
