The HHR SS is a high-performance edition of edition of Chevrolet's retro wagon-hatchback. Unveiled as a 2008 model, the SS was highly anticipated by enthusiasts up until its unveiling at the 2008 Woodward Dream Cruise.

The arrival of the SS model should help to inject some excitement into the HHR lineup. Under hood is a 260 horsepower turbo four that moves the HHR SS from 0-60 in 6.3 seconds and covers the 1/4 mile in 14.8 seconds at 98.5 mph.
The HHR SS uses the same 2.0 liter turbocharged and intercooled direct inject Ecotec unit found in the Pontiac Solstice GXP and Saturn Sky Redline.
Transmission options include a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic. The performance suspension and 18 inch wheels shod in P225/45R18 sized rubber help the HHR SS acheive .86 g's around the skid pad.
The SS package also adds other performance upgrades such as an aerodynamic body kit, heavily bolstered sports seats, race-tuned suspension, a leather wrapped steering wheel, and a boost gauge.
