The Impala rides on a front-wheel drive platform and comes with standard V6 power. Base model cars come equipped with a 3.5L unit -- rated at 211 horsepower -- with up-level models using 239 horsepower 3.9L. Both engines feature GM's Active Fuel Management -- which shuts down three cylinders at cruising speed -- and E85 flex-fuel capability.
All Impala trim levels come standard with a tire pressure monitoring system, head-curtain side-impact air bags, OnStar and XM Radio.
