2009 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD

The Silverado 2500HD is the Heavy Duty version of Chevrolet's full-size pickup truck.

Based on the Silverado 1500, the 2500HD offers the same versatile configurations but with beefed-up mechanicals. Standard power comes from a 6.0L V8 -- rated at 353 horsepower -- or an optional 6.6L Duramax Diesel with 365 horsepower and a massive 660 lb-ft of torque.

Gasoline engines are mated to a Hydra-Matic six-speed automatic with diesel-powered trucks connecting to a six-speed Allison automatic transmission.

As with the 1500 model, 2500HD body styles range from regular cab to crew cab and can be equipped with two or four-wheel drive.
