General Motors used the 2006 San Diego Auto Show this week to display its Chevrolet SS concept, which was first shown in 2003. According to a report published yesterday by AutoSpies, GM insiders say the forthcoming 2008 Chevy Camaro concept will borrow heavily from the SS show car. Yesterday, we reported that a prominent auto magazine had republished some recent photos of another Chevrolet concept purportedly of the new Camaro. The Leftlane Perspective: It’s interesting GM would display its 2003 Chevy SS concept so close to the Detroit auto show, where the new Camaro concept is expected to debut. One thing many sources seem to agree on is that GM will take a relatively modern approach to the Camaro design. But barring any last minute leaks, it looks like we’ll have to wait until the Detroit show to see the new Camaro.

I have seen the new camaro and it looks ok except for the rear tail lights and side mirrors. The front end looks like the 69 camaro but the rear tailights have the 1970 to 1973 look to it. I think that the rear tailights should have the 69 look to it also.
Another thing is the side mirrios are too long looking, they should be shortened and then it would look finished and not like they belong on something else.
I have a good looking idea for the rear tail lights if i could submit a drawing to someone. I would have them as the original rectangle look to them with the Chevy Bowtie symbol in each tailight that lights up when the brakes are applied.

I am interested in purchasing the new camaro when it comes out. I would just like to keep up with all information on this vehicle until it is released. I would also like to keep receiving pictures when they are available.
