The Tahoe is a full-size SUV offering from Chevrolet but slots in just below its bigger brother, the Chevrolet Suburban.

But like the Suburban, the Tahoe also rides on GM's GMT900 full-size pickup truck platform. Because of this, the Tahoe is a very capable off-road vehicle but still maintains excellent on-road manners.
Base model Tahoes -- LS and LTs -- go without third-row seating, but the range-topping LTZ model offers seating for seven.
Power for the Tahoe is sourced from a 4.8L V8 or the standard 5.3L unit found in the half-ton Suburban. Of note, the Tahoe is only available in half-ton form.
All Tahoe models come equipped with a four-speed automatic transmission.
