No college student could afford a used vette without daddy's help. They are great cars but they are not functional you can not ride your family around in them. The only people who buy them are older people who have another car for a DD. They are great cars price for performance I am surprised GM makes any money off them but hell they are bankrupt so guess they weren't really lol. I think they make excellent used cars for younger people who haved saved up. As for current models being overpriced, I just don't see it. Overpriced compared to what other car, exactly? Nobody enjoys paying MSRP because everyone is used to finding a better deal, but when demand meets or exceeds supply, that's what happens. Although I certainly won't argue with the depreciation comment, considering what I paid for a 5 year old model back in 2003. If when the Ford Mustang came out there was a big buzz, every one wanted one and BIG mark-ups where paid by the average Joe, true the economy was in better terms with America, and MPG was something that only Toyota was sinning. When the Camaro dose hit show rooms the BIG BUZZ will be there, and one again "some will pay and some will wait", I know Fords new Mustang and Dodge's Challenger will compete in the same market, but there are Ford guy's that Bleed Blue, and Chevy guy's that live for the Red bow tie, car sales are down for every one, and Chevy want's it's crown back, in Love, War and Business anything gos, what ever it takes to make the sell, and I truly hope no more U.S. jobs are lost, and after November regales of the out come our economy can get back on the right track, as for my 1st comment I'm just saying.
