Many of you guys complain about GM building boring cars. Now they build this (prototype, granted), and some of you complain about it. Make up your minds. Unless you want GM to build more boring cars, don't complain when they get up the balls to consider building something like this. This car would not be for everyone. But that's the point. Our car companies need to realize they can't please all the people all the time. They need to do something that excites SOME people. And personally, I think this car is awesome.

it's kinda cool, but if even if they kept this concept more-or-less intact and with awd or rwd, i still wouldn't buy it.

quite frankly, i have zero confidence in almost any car that gm builds. more than that, i have even less confidence in the degree to which they honour their warranties and attend to customer service. so this car would have to address all of those problems for a couple years and then i might consider buying a next generation version of this thing.

i think that with a sizable chunk of the younger generation, which i represent, gm has dug themselves a deep, deep hole. i'd say about five and a half feet.

I wouldn't say it's cooler then the GTi, Especielly The R32 (R36) but it has the potential to compete. And it is quite cool.

A video game rally car is exactly what the domestics need. As we can all tell from the comments here at LLN, loyalty (however misguided) is a big factor in purchasing vehicles. Old people are set in their ways so manufacturers need to interest the Myspace Playstation 360 crowd (see Scion). This would do it a hell of alot better than a Cobalt. Keep it below 20k and provide tons of factory customization/tuner options.

I really like it...the level of detail is superb as well, shows alot of focused thought and effort has gone into this concept. Great to know GM has ppl like this working for them, hope this kind of aggressiveness, attention to detail and focus on the car's mission seeps into future GM products.

Looks like a nice souped-up video-game Rally Car...

...an American car with a progressive design? wow! Its still ugly to me...BUT I'm sure the 15-18yr old crowd will like it though...especially as potential Civic-competitor...

Yeah not bad... I could defintiely see this working. With the right planning and execution this car has some serious potential. GM needs to keep doing stuff like this and actually bring it to the market.
