IMO I would love to buy a Reflex. If they could etch “Hell with you Usama” or “Saudi Arabia is not your pal” on the bumper that would be even better…

I think the days of a manufacture selling 200k units of a coupe are over. When the Camaro and Challenger come out it will obviously cut into Mustang sales. Mustang will go back to the 125k sales (or less) a year. The Reflex would make a nice Mercury (if a version of the Messenger is not made). But don’t expect 75 or 100k units a year to be sold. Except niche player status with 35-45K sales a year and be happy.

Its just a frilly little ford coupe. The designers lacked the confidence to make it either beautiful or brutal. Maverick anyone?

IMO, that Reflex is a hot little car. I fell in love with it when I saw it at the NY Int’l Auto back in April… I think Ford NEEDS to build some “halo” cars like this on the lower end of the price spectrum, not just the upper end like the GT and Shelby GT500…

Ford is afraid this beautiful little car will simply end up becoming another Probe. Even Dearborn is afraid everything they do will end up crap – it’s not just prior customers. Better they stick with Zephyrs, etc.

meh, I dont see the reflex doing anything special in sales. This isnt really a car that Ford needs to build. Maybe if they were doing well instead of loosing money. They need to figure out a few more key issues first.

I’m not sure why the Reflex recieved recognition for the quote below?

I recognized it as a car right away. Certainly not a stretch on the show circuit.

Why are they hoping tha the Reflex will go into production? If they really love the concept, why not go ahead and build it? It didn’t take long for Audi to make the decision with it’s new R8 supercar, which everyone went gaga over.

I mean, it’s like the Reflex is a lonely child that’s waiting by the park for Ford to do someothing about it.

How can there not be approval for the coupe, when Motor Trend confirmed that even a convertible has a green light?
