Chevy officials on Blue Devil, Camaro production

Chevy officials at the Chicago Auto Show didn’t confirm any new details on the much-rumored “Blue Devil” Corvette, but they didn’t downplay it, either, reports AutoWeek. “We’d love to have it,” said Ed Peper, Chevrolet general manager. In recent months, rumors have intensified regarding the new range-topping Vette, which is said to have a supercharged version of the Z06 engine with output around 600 horsepower. AutoWeek also says there’s a rumor — possibly from the same sources — suggesting produciton of the Chevrolet Camaro Concept has been moved forward, from 2009 to 2008! We’ll keep you posted as these hot stories develop…

So GM hasn’t confirmed anything yet on the Camaro? So why have a misleading story that implys GM has made a decision?

The Camaro production all depends on the other GM RWD cars that’s comming on the new platform (use to called Zeta). I think here’s the deal for Chevy;

Vette- Sports car

Camaro- rwd small v-8 coupe

Monte Carlo- rwd big v-8 coupe

Impala or “Bel-Air”- rwd big v-8 sedan/wagon

And a bigger Malibu will take the place of the Impala
While Colbalt, Aveo n’ others take up the FWD line
