Chevy working on “Super Vette” for 2008?

Rumors continue to run rampant regarding the Corvette SS, which is expected to churn out 600 horsepower. Edmunds has picked up on the recent rumors, citing DigitalCorvettes. Reports of the so-called Super Vette have been circulating for some time, but new details are beginning to emerge about the a “charged” LS9 engine with considerably more muscle than the already impressive 500-hp Z06. Some sources suggest the recent reports are unfounded, and no running prototypes for the long-rumored “Blue Devil” exist. Perhaps GM is questioning how many people need to hit 60mph faster than the 3.7 seconds already provided by the Z06.

A bit late since there is no 2007 Viper to prepare for the round of the next gen Viper. This car will produce north of 600-HP range and some change.
