still, im not believing in this car really being for sale someday until i see it with my own eyes… be it for the fact the maker will have been washed down the drain by the time of the release, or that there wont be any dealers around for this company to sell their products… well, they can still sell the concepts at some firesale like they did with their collection lately… or maybe thinking wallmart or ebay…

Oh man…Transformers 2 is going to be one hell of a movie! Thank God someone at GM thought it was a good idea to feature their cars in these movies. GM’s going to be selling a truckload of these new vehicles.

Awesome looking car but something tells me there may be quality control issues with all the crap going on with the big 3. This is definally something i’d consider, along with the new Challenger which is just bad-ass. Genesis coupe still is heavy competition for this thing in my eyes and the eyes of any true ‘driver’ but the uggo styling in bits of the Genesis is a turn-off while this Camaro looks damn good.

@Need More Kool-Aid for GM. Are you for real? You come up with some of the most off the wall comments I have seen on this site. BTW, I’m from Chicago and Chi Town is a pretty damn good town.

As for the camaro, it looks good in that color scheme. Let’s see if GM actually produces it in this color sceme. It’s been a long time coming for this car.

Yes i agree with everyone took to long to bring out the camaro when the hype was up
The useless IMO opinion Solstice was introduced in 2004 and came out in the end of 2005
This movie will be more for the beat & the VOLT who most are not really interested in like the Camaro
So good movie and hopefully this will get them to sell cars if they give them to dealers
Instead of them just being a concept movie

I agree, it is too bad it has taken this long…. but this time the Camaro WILL be available when this movie comes out. And the flick will show off more than one other car that will be available soon. Hopefully the old “advertising fantasy cars” jabs will be silenced.

I see where you guys are coming from with the comero, but GM had that as a concept car at the time of the movie. After all the excitment from all the people that love camero’s GM desided to build it, and we all know it takes time to take a car from concept to a dealership. I saw the making of the first movie on HBO and the director asked GM if the wanted to be in the move and GM said yes. This was after they already talked to other car companys that said no. So GM didn’t use the movie to show off the camero the director picked the camero. So if it wasen’t for the movie and the excitment from the people GM might have never build the camero.

Right GM – good move. This is a lot of BS for advertising. Raineman got it right. Spending advertising cash on something you don’t sell…just does not make sense. It’s not like the camaro in the movie was being released in a couple months or something. They should have spent their advertising money on something they could actually sell.

My wife saw the first Transformers. She thought “bumblebee” was great. She wanted a yellow camaro. She wold have purchased one….BUT YOU DONT SELL IT YET! By now the novelty has worn off and she is keeping her car a little longer.

Maybe GM can raise the awareness of a lot of other cars they don’t sell and waste a bunch of money again on the next movie….oh yeah…that’s what they are doing.

GM was actually smart enough to back this movie. As someone who watched the original Transformers in the early 80′s I have a real appreciation for look of the characters. Bumble Bee was originally a VW Bug which they acknowledged in the first movie, but have to admit that he looks sweet as a Camaro with the racing stripes.

This will be one of the only reasons people are going to go to Chicago. I know I am. Everyone is pumped for the new movie and GM’s prescence in Chicago is the only reason to keep the circuit stopping there. Otherwise Chicago is pretty sh1tty place (just got voted #3 most miserable).

See you in Chi-town. GM fans are going to completely take over the place.
