Chrysler today announced the suggest pricing for its new 2007 Jeep Compass compact SUV. The 172-horsepower car will start at $15,985 for the front-wheel-drive model, and $17,585 for the 4×4. A special “E” package available on the Compass adds a number of popular features as standard. The MSRP for Jeep Compass models equipped with the “E” Package is $18,585 for front-wheel-drive and $20,185 for the four-wheel-drive model. The “E” package includes power fold-away mirrors, driver one-touch power windows, speed sensitive power locks, Remote Keyless Entry, air conditioning, 115-volt auxiliary power outlet, reclining rear seats, driver seat height adjuster, front-passenger forward fold-flat seat, passenger assist handles, and deep tint sunscreen glass. The “Compass Limited” ($20,140 FWD, $21,740 AWD), adds more features, including leather trimmed bucket seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, steering wheel mounted audio controls, speed control and heated seats. It also adds 18-inch aluminum wheels and all-season performance tires, bright front and rear fascia overlays, and driver lumbar support. Further options (which cost extra), include a CVT transmission, chrome wheels, and the UConnect hands-free communication system.
