SRT chief Ralph Gilles Tweeted a picture of the black-on-black-on-black Challenger to his followers with the caption "ever wonder what Sergio Marchionne Drives on weekends?"
Though it isn't clear where Marchionne keeps his private Challenger, the lack of a front license plate leads us to believe that the normally-reserved Marchionne uses the car when he's in Detroit. An Italian-registered Challenger SRT8 392 would have a front number plate on it.
Marchionne might be at the helm of two automakers that include such brands as Chrysler's SRT division, Ferrari and Maserati, but he is rarely noted for his passion for automobiles in the way that, say, Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda is. However, Marchionne's choice of a range-topping, 470-horsepower Challenger SRT8 392 seems to us like a step in the right direction, especially when swathed in menacing black with black alloy wheels.
