It’s already Fiat’s company. They wouldn’t be moving this fast if it wasn’t. Don’t be fooled into thinking Mr. LaSorda had a say in the matter, people appear and disappear very quickly under a new regime. Sometimes it’s justified and sometimes it’s just to make point but it doesn’t matter. There’s a new sheriff in town and the best way to grab people’s attention is with a good old fashioned hanging- or two. Forget Clint Eastwood and those stereotypical shoot ‘em ups from the past, the term Spaghetti Western is about to take on a whole new meaning.

Jake, when LaSorda joined company he knew what he was doing and what he is stepping into. He had 3 years to find more honorable position then overseeing collapse and degeneration of the company. I am sure that he was extremely well compensated and I am not eager to believe that this compensation was not deciding factor. When companies bought or sold, execs are usually encouraged to stay on for a period of time to keep continuity. That encouragement at least 7 figures per period of time. For LaSorda it probably was very high 7 figures or maybe 8. I’ll never know, but in any case he wasn’t impersonating Mother Teresa.

It should also mention Tom LaSorda saw over the worst automotive company collapse in history.

I’m sure he’s a good guy and all but he wasn’t given any help from the state of the company when he took the helm – we’ll thank Dr. Z for the REAL collapse.

You remember the ask Dr. Z ad campaign? Well I guess the only question he got was if he can create an epic failure of Chrysler. That was one thing he knew he could answer with an astonding “Yes!”
