Although there are alot of choices of vehicles on the market today from trucks to suv’s, sedans sportscars,hybrids,electrics,BMW’S,Fords,etc,etc, I may not like alot of them but I can appreciate why someone else might.Im 42 years old, I’ve had 2wd trucks,4×4’s,small cars and bikes too. I’ve been waiting a long time for the right sports car to come along. Well it’s finally here, they call it the R/t HEMI Challenger.The best lookin muscle car to hit the market in a long time from anyone. And guess what I’m gonna have one before they, the government bans the big motors.Gas prices are of no importance to me when it comes to a sunny day car. And I’m not even a Dodge fan, so to all you HEMI haters BACK OFF! Cheers.

DaimlerChrysler calls it “HEMI,” not “Hemi.” It’s not venerable because it’s a new design, not the ancient v-8 with engineering dating back to the 1940s. DC’s marketing has been successful in obfuscation. Even journalists who should read press kits carefully have swallowed the bait.

The market for V8-powered RWD coupes and sedans exist, it’s just not the same size as the market for stable/frugal Camry-clones. Nothing wrong with that.

Now, if only the U.S. could get a few new ~2,700 lbs. RWD factory turbo I4 coupes and sedans from Japan…

whether you think so or not, everyone does care about gas mileage. It’s discouraging to spend $500 per month on gas

Yeah, its a case of too much too late. Of course, the gas mileage of the HEMI 300C is only 2 mpg less than the 3.5 V6. Chrysler needs to give us a 300D using the mercedes diesel engine currently in the E-Class.

Good the Hemi thing was getting “played out”, like lambo doors, euro tail lights, and big rims. The Hemi isn’t some techincal marval, nor is is even orignal or creative, nor is Chrysler the only one to ever have Hemi cars according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hemi. It was all an image thing for people and a way for Chrysler to over charge people for a V8 engine. For an American V8 give me the Chevy 350 small block any day. Plus most people I’ve met who drive a Hemi something from Chrysler think they have God’s gift to automobiles…news flash your Hemi V8 300C has nothing on an Audi or BMW V8 engine.

People who want the V8 usually don’t care about gas. This is just demand leveling off after the release of so many vehicles that feature the engine.
