johnnycanuck, it is quite a common practice. In reality, if there is no fixed cost contract, and those are not favored by most service provider due to high risk, contracts are re-evaluated often. If you refuse 10% reduction of fee, your people are let go off the project and company is dropped off the vendor list.

So someone please explain to me how they can do this. Didn’t they, like, sign a contract with a fixed price and term? I’m sure if you went to Chrysler financial and said as of June 1st I’m going to pay 5% less on my lease they’d assume you were just off your meds.
