Chrysler decides to keep Smart

03/20/2006, 10:35 AM

By admin

DaimlerChrysler has decided that it will keep the loss-marking Smart unit, despite pressure from shareholders to sell it, reports Germany’s Handelsblatt newspaper. Several investors — including Goldman Sachs — have reportedly expressed an interest in buying Smart, according to the report. However, it looks like Smart is here to stay in Chrysler’s lineup. Recently, DaimlerChrysler sold the rights to the Smart roadster and coupe to British consortium “Project Kimber.”

I hope I don’t hit that thing while pedaling my Mongoose, I’d flip it over and kill everyone inside.

Hey Madcapp, we heard you tell your same little bycycle joke that last 3 times Smart made headlines here at LLN. It’s getting as annoying as your swithgrass routine. Do you have a macro programmed for your mongoose and switchgrass posts?

However, if I had to choose, I guess its better than the racist filth that flows from your mouth.

Why are people still pretending Chrysler is in control? We should just face that regardless of the fact that it was called a merger, this was Daimler buying Chrysler. What I’m saying is Chrysler isn’t saving Smart, Mercedes is.

Poster #1 – I guess you haven’t seen the latest Euro crash test since “ignorance” is at play here.

If you look at the car without the shell, it is a rollcage design.
