i know i said this before but i'll say it again, chrysler, please dont build this car, at least not like this. if you really want to build a caddy killer, heres what ya gotta do. first, get rid of the cheap, genaric rolls royce wannabe look. keep the headlights and just put them on a 300c like design. the 300c is based off a old e class right, so if you want to go big, base this car off the old s class. make it look similar to the 300 but just longer, wider, taller, and richer looking. if this concept hits showrooms, all it will be is another crosfire type failure.

Hey JR don't be jealous because you still doing 3rd grade in your twenties. Grow up and act like an adult this is a conversation not a debate.

Personally I think this could do with a new front and would look a lot better in black.

Just build it and sell it....... streamline it just a bit, keep the great coach doors and market it for what it is ..... a luxury boulevardier in the great tradition of the Imperials past, NOT a benz or bmw chaser..ther are enough of those things anyway. Beside, Lincoln doesn't know what it's doingf right now, and when Lincoln kills off the Town Car this car will fill that niche nicely.....something DIFFERENT for va change (and don't give me that BS Phantom look-alike argument..just how many Phantoms are actually IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOODS, HUH?? :) )_

I say bring the Imperial on and we will be back with the three great American Luxury brands. We need more American marques to chose from. They're all tied together. Henry Leland brought out Cadillac, wanted something better and brought forth Lincoln. Walter P. Chrysler worked for Ford for a time. I believe the 1st Ford Company became Cadillac B-4 Ole Henry started what is now FoMoCo.

I think the look is fantastic. If we get lucky to see it in production my prediction is you will see them all over the road. Something different is nice to see. I'm a bit tired with the lexus/infiniti/bmw look. Takes a trained eye to tell what the model is on all of them.

the fact is, BMW nor Lexus did put this body out. And wouldn't have if they had designed it, it would have been scrapped and the designer would be looking for a new job, where he/she would probably end up at Chrysler. Where all the washed up designers go.

Jon: I live an hour from a BMW or Audi dealer and frankly these people around here don't much like furr'in cars, or people who like them. (A Camry is not foreign to them...)

Old locals with money are confused by the funny looking Caddies, Lincoln lost them screwing them with the Continental, Olds is gone - and they ain't going down-market with Buick. So, maybe an old looking Barge with a bunch of chrome will fit right in. They all like 'Imperial' - it comes on their flounder.

Jon, Chrysler has always positioned itself as being somewhat upmarket (laugh if you will), as a cut above Dodge and former Plymouth. Perhaps they're not as far up as ze Germans, but I think a $50,000 Chrysler doesn't seem too unreasonable.

Still, the Imperial reeks of '80's gaudiness, but if they straighten out the proportions, maybe it won't be that bad. Right? Hello?

For 50K you can get a BMW 5, or an Audi A6…why would people buy a 50K Chrysler, WHY? Chrysler moving up market is like when VW tried to move up market, and we all know how well that went…

No B pillar means lots o' cash spent in the rigidity of the frame for creaks and for safety. The doors need to be extra reinforced and designed specially to take a t-bone impact and not kill the passengers. Lots o' cash (did I mention that?) It can and will be done, especially if more & more demand is there.

No as far as this car goes, I love it. For those who don't, now remember it is a concept, and will look different in production form. You may like it then. I personally hate all the new Caddy designs, so to each their own.

They definitely need to work on the body, but I love the doors. Too bad there aren't more of them out there. BTW, does anyone know why? Technical challenge? I suppose not having a B pillar is not good from safety stand point. Any other reason?
