This car is pure ugliness and answers a question
no one asked…as in the case of the Chrysler
Pacifica. Is there a designer/team at Chrysler
with any passion left? There is not one angle on
this car that I like…Study what works (the
Chrysler 300 was a runaway success) and build on
that…the new Chrysler Sebring should have been
a scaled down Chrysler 300. Every Rapper artist
from coast-to-coast would have wanted one…instead
we get this porpoise-design Sebring. What gives?

The car certainly has a unique shape. I could live with it, if only Chrysler could do something about that ugly grille. They have the worst looking grille in the industry.

For the most part, you guys are a tough crowd to please. I think this is an excellent design, especially when following up the 5-door hatchback phase. The rear is very similar to the Lexus IS300 SportCross; while it apparently doesn’t tickle American-philistine tastes, it’s a good-looking car with a practical boot.

This car is not what the U.S. market wants in a “luxury coupe”. The rounded rear window should have been left in the 90’s with the mazda mx-3, terrible thing to bring back. Second the car would be far more acceptable if the roofline followed the window line a bit more in the back of the car. Good ideas in this car, but those ideas need to be taken back to design, to produce a design that turns heads towards the car not away.

I think it’s beautiful, and I wish they’d build it. But I’m afraid most of America doesn’t share my enthusiasm for hatchbacks, and I don’t think many people would buy into the idea of an expensive, luxury hatchback.

It actually is not that bad. The front end is a breath of fresh air from the ugly 300c and Sebring front end. The problem is that this bodyshell is somewhat cursed. Take a look at the woeful sales of the Opel Signum and the Renault Vel Satis.

I have to agree with ironpony.. I like it from some angles, not so much from others. Looks like they took an Infiniti FX45 and wound it down to car level.. with a trunk and more cohesive rear end this should have been the Sebring.

The biggest design issue is getting the mother-in-law into the rear seat through the rear doors, and she whacks her head on the roof-line/pillar thereby, knocking herself out. Hmmmmm….

Hopefully the front end will not be used on the Imperial, as it would be a gigantic waste of money.

I’d rather see Chrysler do something original than copy.

If a Crossfire swallowed a 300 SRT8… You might get this. Intersting, and unique. I’m not sure what I think of the rear end, some angles I really like it, others, well, not so much. That wrap-around rear window kinda reminds me of an old Studebaker… Ugly or not, 0-60 in 5.0sec is pretty respectable for a large 4-door.

In that first shot it remind me of the Malibu Maxx…except it looks much much much much much better. I wish some company would just build one of these killer concepts…other companies would be forced to develop more futuristic designs to keep up.
