FIAT actually surpassed M-B & BMW in small diesel engineering. If Chrysler can get some of that they'll be able to compete not only with Detroit rivals but with Asians as well. Sure it'll be cheaper for Alfa to have Chrysler produce a car here, but sports cars? I doubt the Alfa 8C halo car will be produced by Chrysler, but we'll see. With Nissan making a small car for Mopar, I doubt we'll see them making a FIAT 500 anytime soon either. At least they are making attempts though.
