Chrysler has announced that it will continue 0 percent financing through the end of April. In addition, the Michigan-based automaker also said that it would cut production if deemed necessary. Chrysler saw a 19.4 decline in sales during the month of March.
Unlike Ford and General Motors, Chrysler continues to heavily discount its cars at the dealership level. According to Automotive News, Chrysler will offer 0 percent financing for up to five years on 2008 models and up to six years on the remaining 2007 models. Chrysler will also be accommodating those who might not normally qualify for financing.
“It’s not business as usual for customers. It requires something extra for consumers to go out of their way to consider a major purchase like a vehicle,” Michael Manley, executive vice president of international sales and marketing, said on Tuesday.
Chrysler has been hit hard by the recent economic downturn as its lineup is skewed heavily toward fuel-thirsty trucks and SUVs.

Actually I would NOT count Chrysler out yet. They are doing the right moves: hiring people who done well in the business (Toyota guy), trimming line-up, building cars. Their losses weren’t as grim as Fords and GMs. And they do have some talent to build cars: PT was a success, Caliber isn’t bad. They have pipeline of small efficient engines (1.8, 2 & 2.4L). Cerberus is not in the business of waisting money. Even Home Depot bastard is hired to repair the house inside out. It is a tough business in a company that suffered through mismanagement since Iaccoca retired (and to his shame did not provide goos succession plan/team).

I see you pulled that one outta your red raped asshole. First off America would be nothing without Michigan, as 1 out of ever 6 Jobs in the US has to do with the auto industry. Second Michigan is 70% forrest, which means trees clean the air. Michigan is the least Polluted state in the US, Michigan has the best and cleanest drinking water of any state. Michigan has no Hurricanes, typhoons, wildfires, mudslides, frequent power outtages(like California), Poisinous insects, spiders, reptiles, alligators, man eating shark, stinging jellyfish, searays. Michigan has the highest/best education system of any state. Most registered boats, snowmobiles, most bowling alleys, golf courses. Michigan leads the US in new technology and information structures. The pine lumber made more millions than the gold rush of california, Copper industry in Michigan is booming to a all time high. The Copper Rush in the Upper peninsula of Michigan. Michigan is the only state to hold its own, in the worst times including now, the civil war, the great depression, and the 1979 gas crisis. Take Michigan out of America and the economy would collapse, thereafter there would be not yet another Great depression, but a global depression as well.

pride is a double edge sword. it brings the goodness out of people, and as well as the worse.. and what i’m talking about here is “brand loyalty” . this “brand loyalty” mind set starts from the pride of murderedout (which i completely admire) down to the pride of “i must drive a chevy no matter how ****ty they are” (or ford or chrysler for that matter). well that’s a pretty good situation there, except those brands that you are so in love with are cheating on you.

now i’m not asking you to dump your american cars and buy others. but just do some research and really look into the quality of other cars and think why the difference, then really think of how our american cars can be just as good, if not better. just like back in the days when we were the best!!! but there was hardly any competitions… wait, what? are you saying that you can’t deal with competitions?!! what’s the matter? your pride isn’t big enough…?

Actually, Michigans population has been increasing the last 30 years, especially the 90s, when Michigan had the #1 economy. It’s Detroit population that’s been decreasing, but Detroit isnt the whole state of Michigan, people move to the rich areas north of Detroit like Oakland county, wealthier than Orange County California. Detroit used to be a nice neighboorhood full of white people until the 60’s, then the niggers from the south moved here because of the highpaying auto industry jobs. The niggers ruined Detroit, and most of the whites moved north(called the white flight). It’s the southern niggers that what made Detroit what it is today. Oh and Michigan pays higher wages than the south’s low slave wages. Now to ****head talker, you must be an import humper and drive a honda civic with a fartcan exhaust, a f-16 wing and a graphics sticker kit, that you think will add 10 HP. You’re a joke saying american cars arent on par with quality, if that’s so true then why is GM still #1? Because they make good quality cars that actually look good(unlike a Toyota). Get you’re head outta your ass. You’re just stating opinions while i’m stating the facts. Don’t be a coward, tell us where you are from, what you drive, and what you do for a living.

We also park off of the little strip mall on the West Side of Woodward just south of 14 Mile where there’s a Bank, and a Pot Belly Sandwich shop. I’ll stay in Michigan if I can get a good job in a year after I graduate. Unfortunately you do have to admit our state’s economy could be in a lot better shape. I’ll only move out of state if I can find a better job. The only State that I said I’d move out of Michigan for would be the state of Washington. I’ve been to Seattle a few times and loved it. Michigan does have a very large skilled work pool so I think there’s a lot of potential for the state. We may have lost manufacturing but what you can’t replace is skill and experience. lol Thanks for the advice JJT! Microsoft is one of the first companies I’m applying to when I graduate with my BBA and major in MIS in a little over a year, and I have an uncle that lives in down town Seattle who’s a project manager for Microsoft. He just moved down from Everett with his wife, although they have a toddler and another one on they way so I think they’re moving back out to the suburbs… Anyways always enjoy your responses.

read it yourself jackjimturkey. i know there’s a lot of gmac situation in that entire lost, but had gm sold gmac back when someone made a juicy offer on it, gm would still be in the dumps right now.
btw, 187out. i have a variety of cars which includes german high performance and luxury, classic american collectors and sorry to disappoint you, but i don’t own and jap rides. that’s as far as i could go with your immature basement comments. so try to educate your self cuz that is the only hope you’ve got.

The massive loss was largely attributable to a third-quarter write-down of tax credits amounting to $39 billion. Excluding the write-down and other one-time charges, GM said it lost $23 million on the year.

Yea, the Detroit Pistons PISSED ON the Los Angeles Lakers in ‘04!!!:)
Actually, if you add up all the money GM has made since 1908 when they became an auto maker, There really not losing any money. But made money. They just focus on YEAR BY YEAR Gross nowadays,(negativly) to satisfy the anti-America media.
****alker, you didn’t disappoint me, you made my day, glad to see you drive American! High five buddy!
