No joke Get Real. For their sake, I hope they figured out how to build/source a reliable AT. If not, this lifetime powertrain warranty will really sting them later.

Yeah, but there is an argument about overstocking. Sure they moved the cars by putting on rebate and incentive and basically taking a loss on each vehicle. How long do you think Chrysler can survive that way? Last year, didn't Chrysler basically shove the cars down the dealers' throats and these dealers weren't happy with the corporate?

Also, the already shitty resale doesn't get help by a surplus in the used car market. In the long run, shutting down the factory line may actually be beneficial. Chrysler, Ford and GM all need to slim down a little. Let Toyota take the hit this time.

so, if those trucks are not still there, then someone bought them. There IS the factory capacity to keep in mind. Sometimes it costs just as much to not build cars. And some machinery actually costs them money to shut OFF/DOWN. Or more money to start UP. At least at the factories I've worked in, that is always a consideration.

It is an achievement for Chrysler: last year they kept on marching building trucks and SUV they KNEW nobody was buying due to gas price surge. What is common sense for majority of population is an achievement to Chrysler executives.
