The Wrangler, Patriot, and Nitro are not built at the same plant. The Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited are built in Todedo, but in a separate factory from the one that builds the Liberty/Nitro. The Patriot is built in Belvidere, Il alongside the Caliber and Compass.

I remember when I was shopping for this ride in 2006-2007 the wait was incredibly long – there were 60,000 of these on backorder. Funny how quickly things change. I’ll admit, I don’t understand what the hell my fascination with this was – my first two TJs were fun and honest, but this oversized gas hog (Wrangler 4-door) is just idiotic. Never again.

I can speak from experience, that being laid off that long benefits nobody, itflat out sucks.

Wasn’t there an article stating that it takes less time to build a Wrangler than any other vehicle? Maybe they should just slow down a little and put them together correctly so that they aren’t at the bottom of every initial quality survey in the industry.
