F50… the HP differences are because the engine is tuned specific ways for each vehicle.

The 300 and Charger are tuned for mid-range punch and highway passing power. The Challenger is tuned for off the line acceleration, and the trucks and SUVs are tuned for torque for pulling and hauling.

The Hemi makes around 360HP on the 300 and Charger. 370 in the Challenger and GC(?) 390 in the Durango, Aspen and Trucks. sort of weird how they all have different ratings, I think they should all have the 390 in the Ram.(Upgraded to 400+ would be nice)

F50, I agree the cars should probably go with an aluminum HEMI, but the trucks should probably stick with steel/cast iron more durable under higher pressures and loads usually if i’m not mistaken and weights going to be high regardless. the 5.7 already makes 390hp expect 410 being stock in a few years.

I want to see the the 7.4L can do though.

Umm the driver and front passenger cant watch tv while the car is in motion because that’s against the law. so that leaves tv for rear passengers, which is nothing new since so many people already have tv’s in their suv’s/cars, on most of which you see kids watching cartoons. chrysler needs good cars in the market, not cheap gimmicks.

This is great imo. now they should improve the 5.7 and 6.4(?) Hemi engines, the 5.7 should be all alluminum(Or at least partly) and pump out 410+ HP(Adding modern tech into it might help) and the 6.4 should really aim for 525HP or 540, all alluminum of course.

With stuff like this, the Chrysler brand can easily move upmarket to Lexus and Cadillac levels(Maybe even Audi and MB) Alfa Romeo should have Infiniti, Acura and Buick(?) levels of luxury. Dodge mainstream. Jeep as is(Improved though).

The 1957 Chrysler Corporation lineup was the best of all time, hands down. Long, low bodies with towering tailfins, pushbutton Torqueflite transmissions (the best in the industry,) 300+ horsepower Hemi V8’s (best in the industry,) two-tone paint jobs, TorsionAire suspension (again, the best in the industry.) Way ahead of Ford and especially GM. It took 2 years for GM and Ford to catch up. GM was still using a 2 year old body (that was a long time back then.) Those days were the pinnacle of automotive design.

Bosley, the short answer is no. Now I don’t know how old you are but I’m pushing 50… I remember riding across the country on the rear parcel shelf of a ‘67 Chrysler Newport for god’s sake. And that’s probably when I became car crazy. By the time I was 10 I could tell you every make, model and year of virtually anything that drove by just by looking at the grill or the tail lights. And I credit that ability simply to being forced to look out the window and paying attention to what was going on around me. I mean looking out the windshield of a car is kind of like watching a reality show on TV isn’t it? I guess the problem is it’s only one channel.

But I like the Simpsons futuristic TV outlook, Brain-o-Vision sends signals right into your brain via retro style ray gun. Just don’t use that in the car……..

Wow. Nice Chrysler. A 6.1 aluminum Hemi in the Challenger willl defintely help with weight reduction. A good sign the company is coming back to life, as I knew they woud. I can’t wait to see what this company will look like in 2012.
