Just yesterday Leftlane reported on the big news at Chrysler – the automaker posted a $225 million profit for the fourth quarter and the first annual profit in seven years.
Now, Chrysler’s American workforce can rejoice with their pocketbooks as well as the confirmed profits mean confirmed profit-sharing checks of $1,500 to each worker. Also issued for the first time since 2005.
The big news was confirmed and praised by the automaker’s fearless leader, Sergio Marchionne, who said the following in an e-mail sent to his workers, “This is a reward that you have earned,” adding, “Your efforts rewrote the history that so many naysayers had forecast.”
Chrysler’s total profit for 2011 came in at $183 million.
