Their international sales are already up substantially and in many cases in their infancy so it should not be out of the realm of possibility, espcially as they bring new and better offerings to market.

a world B segment car alone would make a significant difference..

p.s. in Canada chrysler is the #2 auto maker for volume and has had sales increases in the last something like 18 months.

Ah! I see where you're going with this F451. Instead of making more quality cars to sell here, you keep making crappy cars and pawn them off on the underdeveloped nations who don't know any better! Not a bad plan, since next to Chery even a Chrysler will look like gold.

I do not like what Chrysler has become, and dislike most of the Chrysler exec team, but I do believe that this is a savvy move. There are still many places in the world where you can sell vehicles with few restraints.

Whatever happens, Jeep is ubervaluable. My automotive dream is to see Jeep absorbed by a German marque (that would be ironic) and turn it into the machine it's supposed to be.

Ever considered that Cerberus is money making machine not a car company? What if they just sell Chrysler by pieces, get their money and move on. It is reminiscent of Brandon comment about making millions in airline business: if you want to be a millionaire, invest a billion into airline company. I trust they smarter then that.

I don't consider anything made from 2003 to the present a Chrysler product since that's when Mercedes started to really call the shots. But I know that they have something cooking up, they are looking like they are going to be a pretty ambitious company, looking at everything that has come out of the Cerberus buyout.. even considering that they haven't even released a post Mercedes car yet.

1337 the first car most africans sew was a land rover for sure, my comment was just a joke, you know like chrysler products are. i was just hinting that in order to sell a new chrysler outside the usa it would have to be to somebody that dont know anything about cars.

BTW, I saw Jeeps with diesels in Europe and they crude compare to Toyotas with diesels and cost as much. Perhaps it is part of new formula to charge more then better product and expect to sell a lot of it.

Actually CTS they have seen new cars all over Africa, Toyotas and Rangerovers are fav vehicles over there (African dictators LOVE Mercedes and where do you think Churches send those donated ForeignAid vehicles?). Africa isn't as podunk this decade as it was in the 70/80s, they even had Chrysler dealerships in the 60s over there in Zambia/Botswana. And this going outside of America is what most car companies are doing since the US is going to have another market crash, which will be gradual. If you see our goverment start imposing new taxes on imported goods to so "save" our economy its total bs its just a bandaid for the inevitable. Other countries will just not buy US made goods which is what we quite possibly will see in the future. Since WW2 America has had such a laissez faire attitude towards building up our economy but with our consermerist ideals we've only screwed ourelves. Think about why each state is fighting for road/bridge/highway funding and building bs toll roads which are being bought by overseas companies to manage?

There are a lot of Toyotas roaming Africa. Because of recent Toyota quality issues Chrysler will displace them as the quality conscious manufacturer. They also read my post on LLN suggesting quick attack with Jeep on jap mainland.

Be honest, LLN:
..... The new sales goal could either involve a 12-fold increase in
..... international sales, or a 91.67% decrease in North American sales.

Either way you get to 50/50.
