Chrysler to show long-wheelbase 300C Pullman at SEMA

10/26/2006, 5:56 PM

By admin

Chrysler will unveil a customized version of its 300C rear-wheel-drive sedan at the SEMA custom car show next week. Called the 300C Pullman, the car is a long-wheelbase ride for executives. Stretched for greater rear-seat roominess, the 300C Pullman follows up on the Chrysler Imperial concept that debuted last January at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Suicide rear doors give it an exotic look, while chrome accents and shaved rear trunk add a touch of sportiness.

Other features include dual sliding sunroofs, one for the front seat and another for rear seat passengers, Bassani dual Cat-Back exhaust, Hotchkiss Sportline lowered suspension and K&N Performance cold air intake. The car rests on 22-inch TIS chome wheels and Diamondback tires. You’ll have to wait for the SEMA show to see more of this vehicle. Full image after the jump…

This actually looks classy, unlike the current 300C, which has become the choice of car for rappers and drug-dealers. The suicide doors and extra length help with the appearance. They ought to put this thing into production, but I doubt Maybach would appreciate. But still, Chrysler did make a handful of Concorde and LHS limos, and this definitely looks better than any of those.

Wow.
I’d rather ride in one of these than a Town Car.

Phil: That’s one of the dumbest things I’ve ever read. What does it matter if rap stars or drug dealers drive certain cars? Does that make them bad cars?

Anyway, I think it looks great.

@Shawn1982, no that doesn’t make it a bad car. It just doesn’t make it classy. Read my posts before commenting obstusely.

Phil: Again, one of the dumbest things I’ve ever read. Rap artists are people also. They like nice cars just like we do. They drive Phantoms, Maybachs, Benzs, BMWs, Cadillac’s, Ferraris, Lambos, etc. Are those cars any less classy because they drive em? Would you turn one down?

Shawn1982 – You think that is bad? You should see his posts a few articles down in the “A look at the Roewe 750E sedan” article. LMAO Talking about rappers and drug dealers here and calling others racist there! HAHAHA!

Now about this Pullman edition, I like it quite a bit. I remember before Chrylser pulled the cover off of the 300C they had a marketing ad/poll out asking which company manufactured the pictured vehicle (that being the 300C). Choices ranged from Hyundai to Bentley and the overwhelming majority thought high end manufacturers like Mercedes and Bentley created that car. It’s always had a very classy look. This edition I feel simply eccentuates what makes the 300C look classy, and sexy. Very similar looking is the Caddilac Sixteen, which, is simply gorgeous. IMHO, the classic 30’s Buick-Hudson-Caddy look is complete luxury.

But unfortunately, a Pullman edition of anything will not put a dent in a $1.5 billion quarterly loss.

I don’t think we’ll ever see it here in Australia, personally I think Holden has a better package (same as with the regular 300C) I’m not a ford man either but I still prefer the Falcon over the 300C any day, the looks of a 300C are really a love or a hate thing and I certainatly don’t like them :p

Don’t want to interfer in the argue with Phill about the image rapstars and so on :-) But I would like to remark, that I like those highly expensive cars only in the basics the same as rap artist do and so on. Usually they ruin them (in my opinion of course) with too large chrome rims, spoiler kits and other customization. And although customization can be nice, I think for them it usually doesn’t work out as a parade of good taste, but as said, that’s just my opinion. :-) So I would not turn it down probably, but I would definitely make it stock again ;-)

I’m with you on that one, Bertjan. However, I think ricers are the ones who usually mess with the spoiler kits, which is a whole other field of bad taste. :P

Its rather moot to argue over what those ‘rap stars’ do to the ‘classiness’ of a car…and it’s subtle racism, too.

Point in case…this car IS FOR RAP STARS!!! What person will buying this streched semi-limo, covered in bling and french-assed, and using it to commute to their middle-management job at Bank of America??

HELLO!?! SEMA cars, almost by definition, are OVER THE TOP offerings…

Very nice; this would make a great vehicle. They got it mostly right except for the rediculous wheels. 22″ Chromes with superlow profile tires would be hell on the ride. Other than that, the longer wheelbase, dual moonroofs, and suicide doors would make a great luxury ride. All it’s missing is the ‘rich Corinthian’ leather…

It’s OK but don’t really see much of a market for it. And why do some people always hate on big wheels and low pro tires? As long as you don’t go crazy they enhance the appearance of the car.
